Hi Everyone,

I've had my 3080 FTW3 since 2020. I've always thought if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I've stuck with the following:

- My current Nvidia Driver is still 457.51 released on 12/01/2020
- Have not even installed Resizable Bar Support
- My Precision X1 current version is still v1.1.4
- Windows 10 Pro still running

Heard a lot of negative feedback on Nvidia Driver's releases throughout the year, lackluster performance from Resizable Bar and some X1 bugs happening in the past, but now almost two years have gone by I would like to guess some performance and stability gains should have happened in the past two years.

Do you guys recommend updating? If you have any recommendations if I should update everything or only certain things. What would you recommend I update? Best stable Nvidia Driver?

Current Setup:
- Intel Core i9-10900k
- ASUS ROG STRIX z490 E-Gaming
- EVGA 3080 FTW3
- 16GB G.Skill Trident DDR4 3600MHZ
- 1TB Samsung SSD 970 EVO PLUS

Thanks in advance for your help and time!

if you go for it go for all of it, Start with your MB bios and get the latest Bios flashed, then the latest PX1 and let it do a Firmware update, XOC bios is optional and you can put it in either Bios switch position , then the latest Driver from Nvidia using the clean install, some of the old drivers had security issues. I've had 2 3080s and a KPE and they are all using the latest Drivers and bios and nothing bad happened .

Thanks a lot for your answer @kraade. Have you updated Windows 10 to Win 11? Worth it or nah?

I've been looking at windows 11 but for now I have styed on 10 pro. I even stuck in a new z690 and 12900k and windows recognized it so I have not bothered to upgrade yet.

Rebar picked up about 100 points in Port Royal , XOC only raises your power limit if you do any overclocking, but not necessary, make sure to read all you need to do before you attempt it, like PSA#1: TURN OFF "FAST BOOT" IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS. PSA#2: DISABLE CSM IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS BEFORE FLASHING A REBAR BIOS.

    Its pretty easy

    Thanks @kraade.

Just did everything. Followed your guide on PSAs. Would you recommend the XOC bios? Can it give better performance in games?
