Got my 3080 in today after ordering it yesterday. Noticed that they updated the shroud finally to not have a red line. It is nice and black now. It is also pretty massive compared to my 1080 Ti.

I do agree the clown lip is ugly , But I like the red line on the back plate on mine

Tbh. It doesn't look bad at all apparently they will make black shroud for those who want to replace it and will be free.

Same here, just received a FTW3 Ultra with the red. I don't really mind it though, sort of tough to see in a Meshify C!

Yeah it makes no real difference to me, and since they arent doing a full red delete including the backplate, unless getting the replacement is very easy on my end I will likely pass up that opportunity.

I figured they changed it when I noticed the red was gone on the product announcement page. I am in step up queue for mine with an estimated step 2 date (not official) of 12/28. I won't see my card till Jan or Feb. Quite a long time I'm afraid....

No. That's actually a violation of Federal Law * - the corporation is legally obliged to *prove* that what you did caused the product to fail - they can't legally just arbitrarily "void" your warranty for something like that. Not only is it illegal, it's pathetic - I mean come on, W-T-F does painting a bit of plastic trim have to do w/the operation of the card anyway (hint: nothing). AWK16
