Just got a 3070 Ti (EVGA XC3 Ultra) and tried running Hunt Showdown and within 6 minutes the temperature was at 93c (~200f) and I could smell like rubber burning, and the fans going real loud. On top of that, my wireless Xbox controller and wireless keyboard are malfunctioning now. Totally laggy and unresponsive. So it's interfering with my Bluetooth somehow. What is going on? CPU: Ryzen 3700x Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750w G3 Case: LIAN LI Mid-Tower Chassis ATX OS: Windows 10 EDIT: Tested games that aren't heavy on the GPU like 2d games such as Broforce and Spelunky 2. At first they seemed to be playing better. My keyboard works better when the temps are lower, but the game pad was still having input lag. Spelunky would randomly pause and drop to 12 fps and freeze up every few seconds.

I have no idea since I have no idea what you have beyond your GPU. Initial impression is you have really bad case air flow. How about telling us more about your system?

The default fan curves on the XC3 ain't great. I would use Precision and set it to Aggressive curve and see if that drops your temps. The default curve is like a Global warming CO2 level chart going from back to the 1800s to now. Otherwise if you confident , can download MSI afterburner Beta and use that to undervolt. My XC 3080 was getting to 85C on day 1 back in November 2020. Now its doesn't go above 74C under full load. I find the XC3 it really varies on your case airflow. Just adjust the fan curves to your case. It takes time but you will get it right.

Sounds like the gpu thermal paste may have an issue. CPU overheating can cause fps dips due to the cpu throttling itself. Same can be said for the gpu.

Yeah, has to be your airflow or a bad paste job from the factory.

Easy way to tell if your case is a coffin of heat , remove the side pannel and look at your temperature again and see if it changed and is a lot lower, turn on aggressive fan curve and see how it acts. Run enough reporting software like hwinfo to see where your heat is coming from .

I was coming here to say this. HWiNFO64 is a super helpful tool. I suggest opening the sensors window on that software, running a game for a little while, then come back here with screen-shots of the different devices temperatures, powers, etc. We're mainly looking for GPU, CPU, and system temperatures to confirm what you're seeing. If your other temperatures are all very high too, it could indicate an airflow issue. If your GPU is the only hot thing and it's hot even at idle, then we're likely talking about a paste issue with your card.
