I wasn't. I was just stating my opinion.

I have to agree that it's a pointless test to have a PCIe test since it's going to of course favor PCIe 4.0 cards and motherboards which right now is going to favor AMD. It's like Futuremark making a test strictly for the point of making the next generation of AMD cards and CPU's look better but it's a test made strictly to make PCIe 4.0 look better then 3.0. In the real world gaming though you probably wouldn't see that much of a difference unless you are trying for 8K gaming which isn't really a thing yet and won't be until PCIe 5.0 has been around for a while. A PCIe benchmark takes me back to the days when ATI tried to say they where best for Quake by running optimizations to the quake.exe file. If you renamed the application to Quack you lost 10% of the performance. As for 3Dmark it's I guess worth the cost but people need to keep in mind it's just a test of technology and doesn't really mean much for gaming.

I think it is a good test for current and even older PCIe Bandwidth Testing. But everyone has their thoughts about it.

Strange results. GEN1 & GEN2 should be maxed out at 8 GB/s & 4 GB/s with a 2080 Ti installed, but yet they aren't.

2019 will not finish and M.2 NVMe SSD x4 PCI-E 4.0 will reach speed of Samsung 970 PRO RAID 0 on AMD Platform, 1TB for 220-250$. And new Ryzen R9 3950X 16 cores will rule in high end gaming as something between Intel Mainstream and Intel Xtreme Platform. Then Microsoft and AMD work together and NAVI will be 5-6% faster on PCI-E 4.0 then on PCI-E 3.0.
