For more than a year, our compact QUADRO control system has been a complete success and has been a source of excitement. In combination with the constantly improved aquasuite software, it won comparative tests regularly and received the best ratings.

For us, however, this is no reason to sit back and relax. The desire for even more fan channels and lighting effects has reached us and prompted us to develop a new product.

We are proud to present Aqua Computer's most highly integrated fan controller to date: OCTO.

Amazing piece of hardware and that's not all, for around $60!!!  (When converting their advertised EU price to USD.)

If you put 100 watts through one molex connector your going to be looking for a spatula! Wheres Jonnyguru and his load tester when you need him!?!?!?

Yep, should have had a pci-e 6 pin instead.

I have faith when it comes to their hardware.  They usually pull it off but again, it's 100w folks! lol  Know anyone that even runs half of that?  Pumps usually have their own power cables to the PSU so all they'll just be connected for PWM and RPM signal.

I have a couple of question I have asked them.

My first question is if you'll get the same full control with all the sensors, virtual, curves, etc as I believe the QUADRO is limited to what the AQ6 is capable of.

My other question I have with them is how will using multiple fans on a single header work when it comes to accurate RPM readings.  Usually you'll have a specific hub that takes out all the RPM traces expect from one of the fans to report back otherwise a combination of RPMs will give you inaccurate readings.  I mean worst case is you'd have to get a fan splitter cable that only has one RPM wire going back.

Yeah the "features" sounds great. The implementation of how it actually works does not.

Not really from what I can find the spec on a molex is 6-11a depending on whether your psu manufacturer cheaped out and used proper spec wire gauge or not. Proper molex should be just fine with 32w headroom.

Yeah, the plugs are rated for 130 watts but some of that is wattage loss to heat etc... and at 100 watts continuous they are going to get HOT. Im sure well hear all about it eventually when someone does it.
