Fresh Kingpin board. 13700k installed. 2.05 bios loaded. Gets through post to A9, hangs for a second, then gets stuck at Ab.
I have no video output. PNY 4080. Tried HDMI and DP. Cables are good.
Not sure where to go from here.

Post code ab means you're at the bios setup page. Try clearing your cmos to see what happens.

try a different monitor since your actually making it to bios with no video output.. or hit enter then f10 and enter again to save and reboot to see what happens, is windows installed already ?
also try a different video card to see what happens if u have another.

I some how looked over this thread before I posted mine but I'm having similar issues. Did you ever find a fix?

Sounds like you're suffering the no display bug. Nvidia fixed it with a VBIOS update. The VBIOS update is compatible with all 4090 and 4080 models.

Unfortunately i can't do any of these steps since i can't see anything on boot up. The Z690 dark does not have integrated graphics and i don't have a secondary card. Also since i can't boot up i can't change the boot mode. Any help is appreciated

I've got 13900k, 4090 FE, 7200 MHz DDR5, 990 Pro NVME, 1000w Hx1000 PSU.

I come across the power saving mode on my screen on the startup, yet there's nothing beyond that. Also i get 5 beeps on startup with either "A6/Ab" but i can't tell, i've tried reseating my GPU several times in both slots, i've used HDMI and DP ports for the screen, and i've replugged everything and reseated my RAM. I've also followed the guide on youtube about starting the BIOS, and i've tried resetting around 50-60 times with no luck. Also i've tried to flash to 2.06 Bios from 2.08 with no luck either. I'm wondering if i should go to a friends place and update my VBIOS on his setup.

remove everything even nvme  start with as little hardware installed as possible.. do you have a diff set of ram or one you can borrow. use one stick  also make sure if u have a modular psu that all the connectors are in all the way in so ur on 2.08 u should be good to go there does your vid cartd have bios switch change that see what happens make sure vid card has power into it as well I swapped mine out the other day put it back in and totally forgot to plug it back in lol. can u post a picture of your board with everything plugged in
