I have a intel 17 3770k cpu
socket 1155 LGA
Motherboard P8z77-v lx
ddr3 16gb
power supply is tesla atx switching power supply 650w
the power supply is the cheapest thing in the pc only cost 25 pounds.

I will suggest upgrading you psu, as a good one isn't expensive. It is the heartbeat to your system whole you cpu is the brain, the motherboard is the nervous system, and the gpu is the eyes. You psu is a very vital component.

Bcavnaugh, I understand what you are trying to say, but what we need to figure out is if the connector or the gpu has a defect and go from there also.

He should be able to plug in a 6pin connector to the right side, just to see if it will connect at least. Seeing how there has been no answer if there is something inside the connector causing an obstruction, I am going to assume he isn't looking.

Since the 8 pin does go halfway in, I would think something, either was wire (inside the gpu side) or a small piece of plastic is causing a block.

Is he pinching the Lock Open, I have seen some not go in so easy unless you press open the lock.

LOL, that could be it for sure. I can attest to the pinch locks being a pain.

Lol i pinched the lock hard as hell to push in and it will not go any further then this
Also here the photo link of the two 6 pin into the 8 pin
Don't mind the dust i clean that once i got anything sorted.

Remember to only pinch the very top of the lock, the new locks are a pain.
I had to use my finger nail to force the lock open once.

I've tried that what blow my mind is the 6pin pci from the psu will go into the gpu but it won't power up but the 8 pin which came with the card won't go in at all stupid **** thing lol.

It also looks like you are going from a 4-Pin Molex to a 6-Pin then to the Y-Adaptor, This will not work with for your Y-Adaptor.

No,
For 8-Pin Y-Adaptors you can only use True 6-Pin Power Cables. And you Must Have TWO Connectors.

I just want to get this **** working so much stress for something that should be easy todo.

As a note on Y-Adaptors the 6-Pin Y-Adaptor requires TWO 4-Pin Molex Power Connectors to work.
So you would need 4 Molex Connectors and 2 6-Pin Y-Adaptor to plug in your 8-Pin Y-Adaptor.
Best to buy a newer PSU as Scarlet-Tech Suggested above.

You should make sure you get a gold rated power supply. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, cheap out on the power supply. Do not buy off brand names. Do not buy a bronze rated or lower. The power supply is critical, as a shady company can fry all of your components and generally doesn't cover your hardware if something happens.

EVGA, Corsair, and other like brands are good. EVGA is very competitive with pricing, so I highly recommend them or even enermax.
