So far it looks like it has fixed my flickering issue with the displayport.

I just updated to the same BIOS version after it got sent to me. vers. 84.04.31.00.83, and it hasn't helped with my monitor issues. It is a acer xb280hk running over DP. I just got it today and I've been having artifacts in the form of black horizontal bars, flickering sporadically across the screen.
 
BTW, I pressed y and y again, and after the image saved, the update.exe would minimize instantly. is this normal?
Also, I had the latest drivers installed again afterwards.
