 Hi all,

I currently have a Haf X case with a all in one cooler(240mm) on the top of the case. I also have one of EVGAs 1080ti hybrid coolers installed on my titan X Pascal (120mm) mounted to the back of the case. My intention was to buy a 3090 hybrid but i am reading that the rads will be 240mm(is this true?). I do not think I have the space to handle a 240mm rad in my current case. I have attached an image just to show my current install of both rads.

Would anyone happen to have any advice on a high quality case that can take 2 of the 240mm all in one rads? I have been doing some looking around and have found 2X 240mm rad cases but I worry a bit about the hose length for the hybrid card...and so figured I would ask the experts here!

Thank you so much!

240mm Rad on all but the Kingpin cads, they will get a 360mm radiator

the hose length is report as the same as the 20 series cards

I like the cases made by Phanteks & Thermaltake

One of my Rigs:  AIO FOLDING Project

The big (long) case forced me to get creative when mounting the GPU Hybrid coolers, I made some spacers & added a fan in front of the radiators

Case  Thermaltake View 71 RGB

I have an Corsair 680x with a 360 aio for the cpu mounted up front and planning on a hybrid with the 240mm radiator mounted on top. It will be a tight fit. Ignore the temp card I got on there.

Thank you all for the replies! Cool GTX, I love that mod! Great job man!

I wonder if I could mount the 240mm raid to the front of the Haf X case where the drives/DVD Rom would normally go. I need to do some measuring.

Do any of you happen to know what the dimensions of the 240mm rad will be? Are they pretty strict about the 120mm width tolerance?

I went from the Corsair Crystal 570x to a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL. I plan on putting a Kingpin in there the rad will go up top most likely. I already have a 360 Rad for the CPU. The red one had an EVGA 2080 FTW3 Ultra, sold that one, and got a 2060 KO for the meantime which was for a step up but canceled that lol... waiting for KPE. The green one is the current version...

As Cool GTX said above, the Phanteks are a good case, good mix of sound dampening and keeping the inside cool.  I got the phanteks 400a.

Be warned though, there is no room for ceiling or floor radiators in the p400a, which is a shame.

All really good suggestions. Just went through a similar debate and went with the  Phanteks Eclipse P600S https://www.newegg.com/black-phanteks-eclipse-p600s-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811854083?Item=N82E16811854083

Should be delivered in a few days...

Cases are about personal preference when it comes to aesthetics however, you must consider you're use case and cooling needs. My main rig is water cooled in a Lian Li O11 Dynamic, Would look like a show piece if I can ever get my tube bending skills increased.

My secondary rig is in a Lian Li Lancool II which I think looks great, performs well but they released a mesh version which has better cooling performance. I have also been looking at the Corsair 4000D Airflow to try out.

Lian Li O11 Dynamic is a fantastic case for sure with lots of room for growth be it into advanced watercooling or otherwise. Phantek makes their own clone of the case as well with a few small changes.

Yes, yes I do. Internal measurements for most of these are fairly close.

Also, might check this link out for a fairly good explanation on how  to mount CLC's... From Gamers Nexus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbGomv195sk

And that Lian Li case is awesome. I wanted the front mesh for more airflow.

Having built an easy 20 systems over the years, like others have said. Case purchases are a personal preference. I am one with "Specific" wants in some areas. Air flow and as low of an RPM as possible out of my fans for best overall performance.

Image below found on Google...

And here is another one with a 360 in the front. More than enough hose and height...

You are welcome. I hope it is everything you want it to be.

Keep in mind, down the road,  you may be on the hunt for the perfect fans. The ones that come with the case are middle of the road and work just fine. However, as you chase your version of perfection, do not be afraid to research and find your solutions.

My recommendation if you do go fan hunting, is to purchase one fan of each one you think you may want. Specs alone never tell the whole story. That way, once you have then in your hands you can see in real life which fan performs and works the way you have in mind.

I have a five gallon bucket of near new fans doing it the wrong way (Buying 4-8 at a time thinking they are perfect for the need at the time).

Ah, sorry I'm late to the thread. I'm using a HAF-X right now, it's why my rig is such a mess. But I crammed a triple 140mm radiator in the top of mine, so there's room for most radiators in the case. I would think the hoses on a hybrid would be just long enough to mount the radiator under the top??

Been looking to upgrade my own HAF-X though, something with tons of room for cable management for starters. Hope you enjoy your case upgrade!

@ Mathieas...

Received my P600S today.

If you are not beyond please with it when you get yours. I will be floored! This has taken the crown for my favorite all time case in less than an hour.

My prior favorite ever was the Cooler Master Stacker 830...

*Edit* Note the only issue I came across was with the two USB 2.0 connections at the bottom of the MOBO. The openings at the bottom of the case are wonderful. The one place they positioned a space of no opening is not. I installed a EVGA Z490FTW, connected everything (Pre-ran everything for neatness) and had to unscrew the MOBO to get the one I needed in. Once the MOBO is installed, it is not possible to get those two USB connections in, on an EVGA Z490FTW. So I suggest you check that with your MOBO as one of the first tasks instead of the last like I did.

I was looking for the same (but wanted it in mATX form factor for my Plex server) and I'm super impressed with the Fractal Node 804. Tons of room for rads/cabling in a small footprint.

I think the cube design offers way better compartmentalization and airflow compared to the standard ATX case these days. I'm probably going to buy another one for my full gaming build next month since SLI is officially dead.

@Afterburner

I just got my case the other day. It is beautiful! I am very impressed by the quality and I cannot wait to get my build underway. As you stated, I am far beyond pleased! Thank you again!

Did you happen to have any pictures of the USB connector problem? I am have a trouble picturing it.

I did have a question, if you had the time. I noticed that the top rad mount has no dust filter. I assume this means I should mount a rad here blowing OUT while the front does have a dust filter should be a rad mounted blowing IN. Fan on the back is also an OUT. Is this correct?

@Kouger
Thank you very much for the reply. I have a 240mm rad installed on the top for my CPU cooler and a 120mm rad on the back exhaust fan mount for my Titan X Pascal. The problem is the new 30series hybrids will have a 240mm rad and I could not figure out a way to mount a 2nd one. The front slot is too small (by just a few mm). The case suggested by Afterburner (P600S) looks to be an excellent suggestion. I will report back once i get my system built with the Hybrid 3090(It could be a while as those cards have not been released yet).

Thank you all again!

Answer to your question...

I always suggest that you experiment with "Your" components and case as YMMV.

However, I have found the top being best for pulling air our (Pushing through the top).

My setup is (3) 140's pushing in air in the front of the case at about 70%, the rear 140 and the three top 120's are at 90-95%. Creating what seems to be a nice balance of flow.

However! This may change as I get the 3080 in there this week and play around with the %'s.

Keep in mind, when I am not gaming, my systems are running at 100% capacity crunching for cures and such. So I am looking for the best solution at max heat generation. There is a mesh in the top of that removable lid BTW.

Wow, that is a tight fit Afterburner! Is that a std ATX board? My FTWK is 305x264mm which should fit (case says 280 max width).
