https://www.techpowerup.com/296824/nvidia-to-introduce-official-high-end-rtx-30-series-price-cuts NVIDIA is working with its board partners to introduce price-cuts for the higher-end of its GeForce RTX 30-series "Ampere" graphics cards, in addition to game bundles. This would see the flagship GeForce RTX 3090 Ti drop in price from $1,999 to $1,499, a 25% price-cut. The RTX 3090 (non-Ti) sees its price cut from $1,499 down to $1,299, or a 13.3% cut. The RTX 3080 Ti slides from $1,199 down to $1,099, an 8.3% cut. The RTX 3080 12 GB will finally be available at or below its MSRP of $799, while remaining inventories of the original RTX 3080 10 GB sticks to $699. In addition to these price-cuts, NVIDIA is bundling "Ghostwire Tokyo" and "DOOM Eternal" Year One Pass (base game + two DLCs), with these cards as part of a game bundle. NVIDIA is competing with not just a sudden drop in demand stemming from the crypto-currency mining crash; but also crypto miners flooding the market with used cards. Finally people can buy NVIDIA GPUs at a decent enough price.

Absolutely insane. Win-win for the consumer and we might see more perks if these things are still selling slow.

In lieu of the proposed power draw of the 4000 series...might be a better alternative.

now you got me thinking... they really really REALLY want to get rid of the 3000 gen! the price is really more decent indeed! but from 1080TI to a 3080 TI i dont see that much of improvement!

still good news for those who need a card ..... inventory must be higher than Nvidia is comfortable with.
This related to the tariffs / were these GPU finally exempted ?

when will exactly this measure take effect? is it global? Here in Portugal minimum for a 3080 Ti is 1219€ ( Spanish supplier) from gigabyte ( and i wont touch this brand with a 5m stick ) still to expensive here.. 1400€ and beyond

Don't forget VAT. That brings the cost up about 20 percent or so depending upon which European country you live in.

If you found a price of 1219 that is excellent. I think this company ships to Portugal: https://www.computerunive...509&pde_id=1306233

VAT like ANY Tax .... has little to do with MSRP .... even though it is calculated based on the price you paid .. it IS a Government FEE & not kept by the retailer

Man I am feeling he hurt when I bought the EVGA 3090 Ti at Retail on Release week. I am so Mad Especially when it went down a couple hundred dollars like 3 weeks after I purchased it. and now even more. Oh well guess that what I get for buying cards on launch. Just so you realize that is a 700 price drop in just over 3 months. So mad

VAT is an EU tax. We pay sales tax in the USA in most states. VAT is a value added tax that manufactures pay on all products made in the EU If it’s imported the consumer pays the tax or the importer does.

These discounts might only be for a limited time. It might be an effort by NVIDIA to start clearing some inventory.

Indeed! i once ordered online a heated vest from the brand ORORO - for my father to work in north of France ( uber cold in the winter up there...) Ordered it online for 60 or 70 euros with an extra battery for the vest! when it arrived.. customs here wanted 140 euros to release the product!!! the only reason i don't buy online is i don't want to pay double for an GFX card!

If you order online from any EU based store you do not pay customs. Items ordered from outside the EU are subject to customs charges.

it was the 1st and last time i imported something! - i don't do it anymore without knowing if the custom tax is gonna be applied! I payed the abusive tax cause i did not want my father to be cold working outdoors during winter up there in the North. AND sure hope those WHO REALLY need a GFX card take advantage of these discounts... while they last!! might not be worth waiting for the new 4000 gen peeking around the corner
