What's the deal with NVIDIA's image sharpening feature? By default I have it turned off. Does anyone even use any of these features? I enabled the ON option and not the GPU scaling to see what the hype is all about. I noticed that in-game textures looked grainy. Is there an in between sweet spot setting for this feature to increase performance and image quality?

I turn it on in the specific game profiles in the NVCPL, but I leave it at the default "on" setting. No adjustment. The picture does look sharper/crisper in my opinion.

NVIDIA CONTROL PANAL? Which settings do you use? On or GPU scaling on selected games?

You're not using GPU scaling on Pascal. Have you considered trying it for yourself? Sharpening is very subjective. Just as folks prefer different forms of AA. The film grain setting is there to be able to adjust how the filter affects games that have a film grain effect on them selectable in game or not. Again the results being subjective to the user. How do you ever discover anything for yourself if you're always DEMANDING answers instead of using your own effort?

I use to get humble, friendly responses on this forum. What happen to this place? ? I didn't demand anything. I asked! Thank god for YouTube! I barley come on here anymore. And besides, let's be really honest. There's only a couple of great forum members that actually contribute to anything good on here. I tried many settings prior to asking low key questions.

You have not been here nearly long enough nor spent the literally thousands of hours I've spent helping others. Most of the newer guides here are basically ripoffs of ones I created on the old forum. But I Digress. All you did in THIS thread was ask and other threads ask... how about contributing? I actaully gave you the exact answers you needed let me quote myself "Sharpening is very subjective. Just as folks prefer different forms of AA. The film grain setting is there to be able to adjust how the filter affects games that have a film grain effect on them selectable in game or not. As I said, you'll get opinions from it's crap to it it's a miracle. What do YOU think about it?

I'm so proud that you have identified yourself as a contributor. Like I said before your responses come off as unfriendly. I bet I could go to another forum and ask the same questions in the same manner and get totally accurate responses and great feedback.
