NU Audio Review Pre-Driver with Dolby Digital Support
My Sound Bar came with an Optical Cable but got a longer one from Amazon.
I am ONLY using an Optical Cable for everyday use.
Also I am no longer looking at the
V5i-D to use on the NU Audio Card.
Pending Driver with Dolby Digital Support.
176.4 KHz and 192.0 KHz Failed on the Test as well as DTS Audio, Dolby Digital (Pending new Driver).
So far even without Dolby Digital Support it blows away the Creative Sound Core3D Quad-Core Audio Processor
For Stereo Sound on the
Razer Leviathan: Dolby 5.1 Suround Sound - Bluetooth aptX Technology - Dedicated Powerful Subwoofer for Deep Immersive Bass - PC Gaming and Music Sound Bar Using the S/PDIF Port (Using an Optical Cable)
I Tested the RCA Left/Right and with Mini Pin Adaptor that come with the Card and work fine.
Pink Floyd and Neil Diamond Hot August Night never sounded better.
I had no Driver Issues and Windows 10 Even Installs the Base Driver.
The NU Audio Software installed and update the Firmware without issues.
Setting the LED Color to Match my RTX 2080 Ti Hydro Coppers was easy as can be, Software starts up without issue with only an icon in the Lower Right of the Task Bar.
Tested All the Ports and all work without issues and not pops or pips when changing Ports including no Humming Sounds.
Pre-Install Notes: I did disable the Creative Sound Core3D Services and Disabled in the Bios Before I Installed the Card on the X299 Dark Motherboard.
Pass Through to the STR-DN1020 Multi Channel AV Receiver was as expected and Played 7.1 Movie to a BRAVIA XBR-55HX929 from the LG Electronics Blu-ray Internal WH14NS40 with Ease.
I tested with the 2.2 Channel Bluetooth Sound Bar, hmovie TV Soundbar with Built-in Dual Subwoofer(Wireless Home Theater Speaker,41-Inch, 90W, 4 Drivers, Remote Control) but the Sound Volume seems low but louder than the On Board Audio and it has no Sub Woofer.
(Also using an Optical Cable) Note also that 176.4 KHz works with this Sound Bar.
Next Round review once we have a Driver that supports Dolby Digital to play a Blu-ray Movie.
Only Downside I have really found is the Power Connector
If there was only a way to wrap it to backside to hide the Power Cable.
Maybe a new Audio PowerLink for the NU Audio Card.
Maybe something like this....
