I see one 762x wu and four 807x wus completed in the past 24 hours.

I dont remember which exactly it was but my machine has been running solid for the past 5 days haha and i am running it in a linux vritual box when the WU im talking about finishedit tried sending to standford but the internet connection was lost i had to reestablish it and it said it sent.  Ive been folding with both my 3930k and gtx 560 so some if not most of those WU's are the smalled ones coming from my gtx 560

All five are gpu wus, not smp which is what I assume you would be folding in the virtual box.

It looks like you got a whopper last night. How many smp cores are you running?

Supposedly, that's why they give you the big points because they take so long to complete and things go wrong because they can.

Something must be going on cause I got the dreaded -numbers now too. Also, just looked at my stats: http://folding.extremeove...ry.php?s=&u=499784

When I left home at 8am this morning, I had a WU that just finished and was uploading to Standford, yet it says nothing is there. I am going to run home at lunch and see what is going on.

Went home and checked on the rig. Everything running solid. It actually finished up another gpu and SMP WU while I was there. No error logs and it seemed to send the workload. hmm

Just checked my stats. It shows 4 WUs complete and uploaded to stats at 12pm but nothing from 12am,3am,6am,9am. :( Are those WUs just lost?

No, the WUs are not lost.  Stanford's stats server was down last night, so it wasn't updating the files that EOC uses or the official stats page.  Once it was back up, EOC's next update contained all of the WUs completed since the server went down.  It looks like you usually complete around 8 WUs a day, so of the 4 WUs you were credited during the 12 pm run, some would have shown up in earlier updates had the stats server been running.

The best way to see this is to look at the Team summary.  No WUs credited at all for the 6 am or 9 am runs, then 3 times what the team normally earns showed up at 12 pm.

Even when the stats servers are down, WUs are always credited.  The work servers calculate the credit whenever a WU is returned and hold that credit history until the stats server gets it (they may hold it longer, actually; I can't recall any discussion on that point).  It's specifically done for situations like this; the stats server could be down for days and there's no risk of losing anyone's credit.

Re: NEGATIVE POINTS!!! AHHH!! OMG!!! Look here. 2013/12/15 12:48:09 (permalink)
I wish I could go along with the post and believe it to be true.....Unfortunately, a couple months this year the resulting total of my folding had negative balances.  I fold atleast 500,000 each month, and according to website, my points are always true and correct.  On EVGA, the points, every once in a while, will be negative during the month.  At months end, when the number cannot be changed, I have had it stuck at negative points.  Those negative points don't go away.  Can't collect on points when they are negative.  So, to sum it up, yes, occasionally the negative balance occurs, and the next day will be fixed.  On other occasions, however, the negative balance occurs when EVGA saves the months end totals, and the folding member is screwed.  Attached is a screenshot of my EVGA MyFolding page.

It would be nice if EVGA would catch these exceptions instead of showing negative points.

It would be nice if the stat server never went down, but that isn't feasible, since everything does it occasionally.

Just don't look when it is showing negative and it solves the problem.

I'm just talking about a sanity check. A quick comparison to catch the outage. If the result will be negative don't change the page.
