well I found this on another forum, from the end of last may:
from the guy behind the res. himself --
"1. Light tube leaking - We found this was actually caused by condensation, since the material was too soft, thermal barrier too weak, etc etc. We went back to using polycarbonate for this part, since we finally found a supplier who has it without a UV inhibitor."

I would say SR1.  From what I have been seeing, for the same size (and unlike almost every review I have seen THE CORRECT FANS) its the only thing that stood up to the Monsta.
One other thing to consider, Magicool, they are an OEM.  They have basically unbranded rads from BI, XSPC, Feser for 2/3 the price.

The correct fans was actually a reference at the Monsta.  its a BEAST of a rad, but most of the time they are tested with crap fans, or at best a descent fan which is WAY too small for it.  Which in spite of its size, gave it VERY bad reviews.  So I made that as a caveat incase I got the Monsta's are only a name.... not that great.  SR1 is IMHO best non Monsta on the market, SR1 does nto carry the price tag, or the GIGANTIC form factor.

For most everything NON-Monsta the AP15's are an excellent choice, IMHO, probably the best, at very least top 5 120x120x25 fans made.

Ok, thanks for the help.  The SR1 is a little thinner also, so I'll have a little more room for the 8-pin header

Also my radiator came without screws (the one I got on forum) but the spec sheet says M4 screws, so do I get a certain length if I'm not using fans on it, or just some small ones to mount from the bottom to the case?

Really depends on the case.  If it has screw holes for mounting, 1/4-3/8 inch should be fine, unless there is a sizable recess in the m ounting area, remember, dont go too long, the last thing you want to do is thread a screw in too far, and puncture the radiator core.

How many radiators is too many?
I found a SR1 120mm on ebay for 40 shipped and I'm thinking of going with an SR1 30 and already have a 140 GTX, so would a 120mm be pointless? Also, are the NZXT 140mm fans strong enough for a black ice GTX push setup?
I also can get this over the weekend from local microcenter...

So Ivy Bridge has been delayed till "after june" apparently, so at microcenter I can get a 2500k for $180 new.  I think I may pick this up to use on a Z77 board as an "interim" CPU until Ivy bridge is released, and then sell this processor...what do you guys think?

If it was me I would save the money and wait or wait and put that money towards another rad and fans.

Alright thanks. So you think a third rad is a worthy purchase?

Adding another rad will bring your temps closer to ambient under idle and load. The more rads you add the closer and closer you will be.

cool, just got the 120mm for 40 shipped used (in perfect condition though  )
Would a good order for this new setup be:
pump - 140mm - cpu - 120mm - gpu - 360mm - res - back to pump?

The coolant temp difference between your CPU and GPU will only be at MOST 2-3C. My recommendation would be res--->pump--->CPU--->GPU--->all three rads---> back to res.

I love those comPression fittings. That is a good looking set up. How is it coming along? I'd like to see some more pics with the rads and everything all hooked up.

it's getting there, I have a while to go before the build can start as I'm still waiting on Ivy and I'm not actually home for a little while.  I'll be flushing the rads early march though when Im home

hey, is the SR1 360 worth the ~$30 price difference over the RX360, or is the XSPC a better price/performance rad?
Thanks

The SR1 has excellent build quality. Some of the best out there IMO.
