Generally, our warranty policy is that if we cannot replace your card with the identical card to maintain SLI, then we will work with you to replace your other card to keep you in an SLI system.  No need to pay anything for that.  Both of your cards have the same warranty, so if one card is replaced with something other than a 980 Ti, then we'll work with you to replace the other card to match. 
 
As Jaeson noted, make sure to click the "This product is in an SLI System" (or similar) box, and this will notify the RMA department to see how to best assist you to keep you in SLI.

Thanks for the answer. How can I open the RMA and click this is a sli system?
I wrote a ticket to your customer care but they answered me that my cards are out of warranty.

Thanks for the help. I have submitted the RMA, Crossing fingers to know what parts I will receive for my sli. After all this problems a paid upgrade will be welcomed. :)

I am pretty disappointed from the support.
After three days from my RMA request I received this email:
"This message is to remind you that EVGA has received your EVGA Advanced RMA request.
We are still waiting on a copy of your Original Purchase Invoice to confirm and approve your Advanced RMA.
Once your RMA is approved you will receive additional instructional emails to continue with the Advanced RMA process."
 
This is wrong because my cards comes from a step up and no invoice is needed.
I uploaded the invoice from the step up, hope that all this errors will bring to a good solution.
 
I can't understand why EVGA team does not know its own rules.

I do apologize for any confusion and misunderstanding. I've already emailed you in regards to your concerns. Though please understand that these are automated emails that are sent for all advance RMA submissions regardless of where the product came from. You should have no concerns over your submission.

Hi all, thanks for the support and for the patience,
but I am considering to throw this card in the trash.
I was waiting 2080 to upgrade my 980 Ti SLI and I don't want to spend too much time with this, I spent even too much time.
 
This is the broken card.
 

 
as you can see from here I installaed some genuine backplate from EVGA

 

 
As I removed the backplate I remebered that I removed the paper sticker because the sticker was applied on the ram and I did not want to put the backplate with thermal pads on a paper sticker.
 
On the email I received for my RMA is written:
"Your EVGA product must be free of physical damage or modification. Products received with physical damage (bent CPU socket pins, any damage to the PCB, water damage, etc), missing the original video card or chipset heatsink, or missing the serial number sticker will be returned to the customer or may incur a service charge upon receiving"
 
After this email I realized that I opened an RMA for the card
Serial Number: 1510634991******
but I have two cards and I dont know if the broken card is the 
Serial Number: 1510634991******
 or the
Serial Number: 1510634991******

So I realized that this RMA is becaming too much difficult for me.
