Well as some of you know, I'm doing a part-out, and gonna enjoy doing things outside and such more often, also I got a reloading press (For ammo), so lately I've been getting set-up with that. And also fixing up my baby. It's a Glock 23 Homeland Security. (.40, compact). I have 3x High-Cap magazines for it (13rds), I just bought a EFK FireDragon National Match barrel for it (.357 Sig), and man it's a blast, barely any recoil at all. Looks sexy too! For now, I have a a flash hider that I'm gonna have on it, but eventually hoping to get a supressor (Silencer).  A flash hider, looks like the image below for those who don't know. It threads onto a threaded barrel.

Dude, in Texas anything goes.  No max clip capacity, etc. Just gotta have concealed handgun license to carry concealed. Only state that can beat that is Alaska, don't need that there. But yeah in Texas, you gotta have a great record, and then get your suppressor license, and then pay a $250 annual suppressor fee, to have it registered in your name.

Very nice... I tried the longer barrels... But could not find the happy balance I like... Might be because I ran to many rounds through before hand and got used to the weight/balance/reaction and it ruined it for me...

I know Indiana has some pretty laxed gun laws compared to other states. I just know that Illinois has some pretty strict ones. At the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife show I see silencers a lot. they are expensive.

I've been looking into getting a Glock 23 recently. I know a Sheriff's deputy that offered to sell my his police issue one that he bought a few years ago for $230. I just need to go talk to him again.

Dude, do it! That's how I got mine. And I love it. The G22 (full .40), and G23 (compact .40) are the ones most cops carry, so you can buy nearly every possible accessory for them.
Also of course you can find people like me who also own them to trade parts, etc.
It's like having a Gibson guitar, very good and has TONS of parts for them. You can checkout Glockworld.com for stuff, also Midwayusa.com has parts, and is cheaper BUT just don't have everything like Glockworld does.

Very cool. I am looking for a CHEAP handgun to take with me when I am hiking and camping that is fairly cheap to shoot. Gotta research more but I am a crack shot with a hand gun. My dad always tells the story of how I was hitting clay pigeons with his .22 ruger. First time I did it, everyone said it was someone else's 12 gauge that got it. Then they pulled again with only me shooting and BLAM! Just to make sure it was not a fluke or a faulty pigeon they did it one more time and guess what.... BLAM!

Thanks, and well got it for a good price, since it's the Homeland Security model. But them the barrel is $189. I have the Hogue rubber grip on it. And dropped the trigger to 3.5lbs. Now waiting on my 9mm threaded barrel to arrive.
