Hello! I was fortunate enough just a bit ago to get a hold of a 3080 Ti FTW3 shipped and sold straight from Amazon. The only unfortunate part is that it's not brand new, they marked the condition as Used - Good, but it is in fact coming straight from them and not a 3rd party seller. I'm waiting for it to arrive this coming week, but I had a question regarding warranty while I anxiously await it's arrival in the meantime. I know the warranty follows the card and not the owner, but would this be considered second hand, even if it's straight from Amazon and not an individual? Also, if the previous user managed to register the warranty and didn't remove their name from it, would it be impossible for me to register it under my name since I'm buying it from Amazon? I'm really hoping I can register the warranty and then extend it beyond 3 years, but I figured I should check first. Hopefully everything is fine with the card and I won't have to use the warranty for anything :)

It should be considered "2nd Hand" regardless of purchasing from Amazon and yes, you will be able to Register it thru Evga, just upload the Amazon Invoice.

Ok, thank you for clarifying things for me! Just wanted to be sure I had all my ducks in a row before it gets here and it potentially (hopefully not) has any issues once I boot up my PC.

Nice snag!  I wonder if you can extend the warranty?  Either way, it should be covered for three years.

Thanks, I still can't believe I beat the bots! I'm hoping I can extend it, just to be safe. I guess what I'll do is make sure the card works, register it, and then reach out to support and see if they'd be willing to allow me to extend it since this isn't a typical scenario of buying it straight from a user and I'm getting it from Amazon. I do have an additional question regarding how my PSU cables should be set up. This is my first 3 slot GPU, so I'm not sure if I should use 3 individual PCIe cables, or if I can use 1 individual cable and a daisy chain cable.

3 individual is ideal.  What is your PSU?

I'm using a Corsair SF750. I just got it back in March of this year, so it isn't old. I was looking into the PSU and GPU to see if they would work well together just in case. I don't plan on OC the card, just to game/work on, so I think I'll be fine?

Unfortunately your Card wont qualify for Evga extended warranty (being considered 2nd hand).

Evga warranty is half and half on following the card. The warranty is worse for second hand.

You might get lucky if it hasnt been registered. Smudge the used part

I'm 100% for the warranty to follow the product, NOT who registers it and not that BS if its been registered before a time limit.

Congrats to you! Do let us know how everything goes. Sometimes Amazon sells items as used, when in reality, only the packaging is damaged and the product has never been used at all, and still sealed in it’s plastic. I bought a Razer TKL keyboard from Amazon warehouse that was listed as used and in acceptable condition. The keyboard box was damaged, but the keyboard was brand new and sealed in plastic. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I’ve read where many others have had similar experiences buying from Amazon warehouse. The good thing is Amazon is great about allowing you to return an item should there be an issue. If you buy items from Amazon warehouse, make sure the seller is Amazon. I personally would not buy a used item from a 3rd-party seller, but that’s me.

Thank you! I really hope something like that is the case for the card. The condition description does say the packaging is damaged, but that it comes with the original box. I'm hoping that only means the box is a bit beat up, but the GPU is brand spankin' new. It says the item is sold by Amazon Services LLC., so thankfully I'm buying direct and not a 3rd party seller

For anyone that cares for an update, sadly Amazon canceled my order. I knew something may be up since according to them, they had until today to deliver even though it had not shipped as of this morning. I reached out to support earlier today and they told me the item was out of stock, and that I'd get mine as soon as more arrive. Guess my luck ran out, back to trying to find a card

Yeah, they were going to ship and charge me once they got more stock. Guess I'm just going to have to try and get one if they go live again.

Yeah sorry to hear that man, I knew something was fishy when you originally posted this.  Unless you're a robot moving at the speed of electrons, you're not getting an EVGA card from Amazon at MSRP.
