I have never had multiple monitors before this, so maybe my issues are just stupidity on setup.

  • As shown in the image, there is a 1/8" gap between a maximized window for my apps.
  • Several apps maximize across all 3 monitors instead of just the one they're on
  • While monitor 2 is set as the default and the Start Menu resides there, opening it, opens in monitor 1 (left side)

Pictures of both the gap and how most apps behave in full screen shown below:

Make sure it's the correct aspect ratio and resolution.

There are 3 monitors (HP 23ER) - running at 1920x1080 @60Hz

Resolution for the system is set to 5760X1080 @60Hz

According to my math, this should be the correct setting for surround mode (1920 X 3=5760)

This is the model:

As for what seems like a possible underscan issue, anyone have problems with the "surround" setup and apps stretching to take up 3 displays?

TIA!

I used to use surround vision long ago.. back then you had to adjust the borders between ea monitor to line them up. .ight still be the same.. look in the nvidia console under multi monitor setup.

It's not a matter of lining up as they're all the same height, size, and same bezels.

So was my 3 identical 24" monitors. Still needed to adjust the screen spacing for the bezel thickness. So basicly one is adding pixels to the overall res to add in the width of the gap.

Well, I'll be damned.  I set it to 30 and voila.  No more gap.   Thanks!!!

As for the Start menu, I just set it to span all 3 screens.  Not the best option, but it works.  Only thing left is why some apps when put in full screen span all the screens instead of just the one.  Wondering if there is an adjustment per app basis?

Might need a multi monitor program to do all thst extra work for you.. display fusion?? I think that's what it's called on steam. Check that out. Prob others out there too.
