So I was lucky enough to win a 2080 from the live stream Friday, and now that they got back to me and I officially claimed it, it's time to look at monitors to replace my 6 year old 1080p60hz nothing special display.
I had already been saving up a little for a 2060 and planning on sticking at 1080p. But since EVGA is hooking me up with the 2080, I figure I have to use that savings on a display.
Unfortunately I can't afford to go wild and get some $700 amazing display or anything.
So far I found this Dell at Best Buy that is a 24in 165hz 1440p with G-sync for $320. I think 24in is the perfect size for my setup, I sit pretty close to my display, so 27in might be too big but I can adjust if need be. I also feel like I'd rather have the higher refresh and gsync at 1440p than 4k60 without gsync. Anyone have opinions on that aspect of it?
Just looking around for $320 I can't find anything that's even remotely close in price and as good a balance for my setup/wants. I know it's a TN panel but reviews say it's fairly decent.
Anyone have any other suggestions. I would probably go up to around $400 for the right deal but would obviously prefer savings. Budget is a factor here. I also absolutely hate rebates, so I won't mess with those.
Thanks in advance!
