So I am trying to move my Voltage limit up on my Titan X Maxwell. Right now I am hitting 1.243v and trying to move it up to 1.275. But every time I mod it to go higher the card will not post and ill have to re flash the modded TDP bios I made for it just to get it to post into windows again. ( So you know I am using a second card to re flash the Titan X when the flash is unsuccessful). If anyone knows why I can get it to lift the 1.243v restriction I would be in your debt. Also if anyone can take a look at my bios for me and help me out that would be cool. Just let me know how you would want me to send it to you. Thanks in advance.

When you say it won't post do you mean it actually won't post into windows, or do you mean it throws a code 43 error inside the device manager?

As it's at the loading screen for windows 10 where you see the windows icon and the circle at the bottom spinning right before windows login. It will freeze right there and switch to my gt 1030 to login t windows and the titan x is detected in device manager so I just disable it and re flash every time it fails.

Nope it boots to my other card. It seems that as soon as I try to touch voltage in the bios it will not post into windows. The card works fine if I don't go into windows.

Your Not the only person having issues with the newer Nvidia drivers & modded BIOS

Both of my EVGA TitanX SC are currently flashed to the cyclops3.rom bios

Yes, a lot of people have had issues with the latest drivers when running a modded vbios. Everyone I have seen running a modded vbios get the code 43 error. e.g. https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-SC-Code-43-m2732307.aspx

What happens when you remove the other card from the system? Does the titan x throw a code 43 then?

I will have to try when I get back home tonight to pull the other card to look for code 43. Also I guess I can give a older driver a shot. To answer the other question I am modding my original bios. I have always had better results modding my original bios.
UPDATE: I looked at the posts you pointed out. I have already disabled windows from updating driver automatically. So it looks like it might be the driver. Will be trying that later definitely.

Another Update: Did not get get error code 43. I had to end up using the Windows Show Hide fix and the 385.69 Driver and now it works I raised the voltage to 1.275 with out issue. Runs stable as far as I can see with the short amount of testing I had time for so far. Sad thing is I can't continue to use this driver for gaming because it does not work with a few games I'm playing right now including Battlefront 2. So I guess I hope nvidia will have a more recent driver that will fix the titan from crashing under vmods. but thanks for all the help everyone. It's working and thats all that matters now it just a matter of when if ever that we can use newer driver for vmods.

again I believe post 18220 including the link in that post and the cyclops3.rom bios could help you.

Even if you just examine the "fixed" BIOS and see where it is different than yours - could give you some direction on your tweaks ?

    They are running driver 388.00

you guys might want to check out the voltage mod that modifies the sensing system the bios uses to limit power.  many people make a slight mod with some liquid metal that can be easily removed.  check it out ...

i will be checking out your links, thanks.

He was trying to increase his voltage limit, not his power limit.

You can "hard mod" the voltage limit away as well, but most people don't like the risk of hardware mods.
