Hello, Metro 2033 is super stretched for me. Text is crammed together and my mouse moves really fast horizontally but normally vertically. I have a triple monitor setup, but am running the game on a single screen. I have tried changing my resolution to 1920x1080 through Nvidias control panel for Windows, but even that did not help. I am running the newest version of the game. Any ideas?

You sure you changed the settings in game too? Either the game still thinks you got 3 monitors going or your FOV isn't set right.

Disable surround entirely in the control panel.

If that doesn't work, you can try deleting \AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033\User.cfg

I did both, but they didnt help the issue. This is intresting- When I set the resolution to all three screens- 5970x1080- The aspect ratio problem gets solved, but my mouse behaves wierdly. the horizontal mouse movement is noticeably faster than vertical, rendering the game unplayable.

I know this is an old thread, but I seem to be facing this issue as well; I will try disabling Surround entirely tonight to see if that fixes the issue, but telling Metro 2033 to run at 1080p doesn't work for me; the display is messed up per the above pic.

EDIT - I didn't see support for Metro in either Widescreen Fixer or Flawless Widescreen.  Are there any tweaks to make this work in super widescreen?

So its not working for you too   ? I had contacted THQs support back in December and this is what they came up with-

Many users reported problems with multi-monitor setups like Eyefinity, and widescreen resolutions. Certain users experienced extreme stretching in many widescreen resolutions. A patch for this went out in March 2010 and corrected this, however some users still report that in the 16:10 aspect ratio the issue still occurs. Users suggested changing the FOV in the .cfg files. Though it will improve the issue slightly, it does not fully fix the image stretching. To attempt a fix, begin with changing the resolution in both .cfg files to the monitor’s native resolution. If that doesn’t work, change the FOV in the .cfg files to “fov 60”. The two user.cfg files should be in the following locations:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\”username”\43110\remote
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\metro2033
Another suggestion was that if the user has a VGA cable, switching it for a DVI/HDMI cable should solve the issue.
Other solutions can be found here:

I hope this solves your issue.

    Steam had this to say-

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.v
Please check to make sure your game files are installed correctly.
Right-click on the game in your Library list and go to Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
After Steam verifies the game cache, try running the game again.
If you continue to experience this issue, please contact the game manufacturer for support.

This was back when the 306.97 drivers were out. Now the 314.07 drivers are out and its still not fixed . Personally, I've given up as its been almost 4 months but I still do hope they get around to fixing it. I don't want to disable SLI as the cards will run pretty hot, considering how demanding it is. Also tweaking surround again is kind of annoying. What do you think?
