If your mainly into racing(esp with a setup like that), you need to invest in the largest screen you can get your hands on. Trust me, you will love a huge screen a million times more than your g27 for gaming. Nice setup btw. Wooden chair Found you a new chair!

Nah i think playseats are overpriced. Im thinking of building a stand that can have 3 monitors. I may not buy a 480 and just get 2 460`s and run surround since i already have 1 22inch monitor. Plus i could race, and watch the football games on the tv

seabigbear Nice set up & BTW the chair is cool don't let anybody tell you different! however if you had an urge to sit in your nice rolly chair you could try to run over a sock and have it get stuck in the wheel. that always stops my chair in its tracks. really annoying.

A racing simpit is a definite plus when it comes to racing games. With a regular table and chairs the wheel, chair and pedals move around too much -- well with my driving anyways. The G27 sets the standard as far as racing wheels out there. I have the Fanatec Turbo S wheel with clubsport pedals myself. A weekend and about $100 in supplies could have you in a simpit like the photobucket pic you linked. You could recreate that particular example with a bit of plywood and 2x4s, and a $50 sportscar seat from a local salvage yard. Sand and paint the frame up to look good with some black paint and you've saved yourself some serious cash vs buying one of those expensive setups. BTW, might take the . out of the end of your photobucket link or it doesn't link right.

Nice man, I think you would be more happy with the 2 460's and the triple screen. And to the guy that mentioned getting one big screen. Triple screen will always be better then one huge screen. You will never see the same amount on one screen as 3. I think I posted my setup before for you. But here is mine. Fanatec Porsche Turbo S, Clubsport Pedals, and the Fanatec Stand. Also you should pick up rFactor and some of the GTR Series.

Man, I really want a cockpit to put my g27 in as well. Like the others have said, a g27 pushes back sooo much on medium it's crazy lol (talking about moving furniture while trying to turn fast and chasing the pedals as you scoot backward haha) I'd love to recreate the cockpit of a Mitsubishi 3000 GT (one of my favorite cars) with my g27. It could be done with a little cash, but I have like NO room for storing something like that :( Oh, and chili coke is the man! I'd love to have some dimensions on his setup.

Carpet (mine is burbur) is really forgiving with a chair on castors. I've had no issues and excellent results with my setup and my G25. I do find that putting on slippers or the like is a must when using the pedals though.

Nice setup! I could never go back to racing games while using a controller or keyboard. The G27 looks like a sick wheel. I went with Microsoft's wireless wheel since I also have the Forza games and wanted a wheel for my PC/360. Plus I was able to get it on sale for only $50 a couple of years ago.
