Some sick setups! I don't think Driving/Racing sim guys are nearly as nuts as the Flight sim guys, though, hahaha

I have been working on something like that, only made out of wood in stead of metal. Some nice maple seemed better at the time. Also, @OP, good job so far. Looking great, and good choice on the wheel.

Both flight and racing are about the same actually. I've seen racers do whole cars.

Yea I posted one at the top of this pg. The whole car is a motion simulator. You can see it is on hydraulics.

To those of you in the know...who makes the better wheel?  Is the G27 the best available or will the GT3 Fanatec Wheel be just as good if not better?

Cause im def gonna get one soon, just hard to make decisions.

Logitech has better customer service but in some ways the Fanatec Turbo S is better. Donno about the GT3 wheel I have the Turbo S.

I know in FPS games 2d or eyefinity can help because of your fov and seeing enemies.  But from my experienc(which is limited), take a huge 120" screen with full suround sound and race on it.  It will blow your mind away.  Imagine going from 120" down to 22".  Even with 3, side by side, it is not even close.  Look in my mod rigs and there will be a picture.  There is a beer bottle on the bottom right that gives you a comparison.  Then put that beer bottle to your monitor.  Plus they are awesome for movies.  Just saying, if your going to spend the money, probably should do it right.

I have a very comfortable computer chair but its on wheel and when i push the brake i go back LOL. 


haha i would have never guessed. thats too funny lol. You could always add an area rug to your floor it would reduce the friction from wheels and you could have your chair back. but overall nice setup.

ROTFLMAO this is great.  I always thought the racing wheel was the nerdiest of peripherals.
