Got a SC15 on the way, wanted to know if anyone has any info on dual booting a linux distro on this laptop? Any major issues or anything I should consider before trying it out?

Tried to boot Linux off a USB today on an SC15.  I built the content of the USB stick using TuxBoot on another computer. That was a mistake, as it was not created as a UEFI-compatible boot device.  I remade the USB using Rufus.

Press F7 to get the boot manager.
Press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

In the boot manager menu, the USB will show with text starting with "UEFI:" followed by some kind of device name.  My USB boot device had a name that looked nothing like I expected, but selecting it did bring up the Linux distro I put there.

If you decide to give it a shot, please reply with your experiences.

Just tried Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on USB created by Rufus.

WiFi, Bluetooth all seem to work just fine.

    Hi,
After a lot of reading online on how to get gpu support on ubuntu 16.04 lts on the sc15, I have successfully installed it along with dual boot windows 10. Steps are given below.
    1. Create an ubuntu 16.04 lts usb installation using rufus and the ubuntu iso.
    2. Follow any guide online to install it with dual boot.
    3. Once it's installed, please DO NOT install nvidia drivers from the software updater or even any other noveau driver or whatever if you intend to use the gtx 1060 discrete gpu. Install ppa nvidia drivers using the terminal. Google for the commands. I used nividia-410 ppa drivers
    4. You have to edit the grub file and add "nomodeset" parameter right after "quiet splash" like so: "quiet splash nomodeset"
    5. Reboot.
    6. Profit.
