Nice.  Not a bad price either.....I was expecting $499.  Not much about this case I don't love.  Could have had ball bearing sliders for the removable motherboard tray but that is nitpicking I suppose.  Also a bigger CPU backplate retention hole in the mobo tray would have been nice....something around the size Corsair uses would have been nice.

    It's gorgeous.

Updated OP with the PC-V1020 as well.  The V1020 is overpriced, PC-V2120 is a bit overpriced but not bad.  Who's gonna be the second person on EVGA to get one?  danny.nguyen had one for a while so he has you all beat.

Agreed about your nitpicks.  As for the CPU backplate cut out, one like the TJ07 would have been better.

nahh, not really. the lian li's have much better build quality and i believe they have absolutely no steel, which makes them much lighter. aluminum tends to be better for modding i believe as well.

Having owned both Lian-Li's and an 800D I can say the build quality on them is equal, the 800D is a fantastic case. Aluminium is nice for weight and modding for sure, it is way easier to cut than steel.

Have to disagree, most Lian Li models have far better quality than the 800D, 800D got too much plastic and six legs just looks retarded.

Corsair cases have plastic drive bay locks, plastic hard drive trays, plastic drive bay covers with aluminum over them, and the side panels are like sheet metal.  Lian-Li uses aluminum drive bay locks with rubber anti vibration pads, aluminum hard drive trays with rubber anti vibration pads, aluminum drive bay covers, locking side panels, locking doors, sound dampening foam, awesome casters with rubber socks, so on... Lian-Li has the best build quality and attention to detail.  The only company who comes close is Silverstone.  They sometimes use even thicker aluminum but still have plastic drive bay locks and trays.

Personally, I think Lian Li went the wrong way with their design; They strated on something awhile back, but ended up rolling this way instead. Nice chassis? sure. Excellent build quality? Yep. Impressive design? Not so much.

Things I liked about Lian Li:

Awesome card retention bracket's; for those chassis that hve them.

Very nice PSU mounting bracket's; again, for those chassis that have them.

Awesome aluminum finish, and anodized aluminum panel's and structure.

    Thing's I don't like:

    Inconsistency of design.

Silly removable HDD bay's; particularly those in certain area's.

    Refrigerator look on some models

    Corrugated refrigerator look on others

    Dangling multi-colored wires

Poor attention to market trends; and consumer interest.

    Result:

Just building something great; isn't good enough. Clean finish, and excellent design on some components; doesn't make up for overall final product flaws.

The only actual complaints I have about the case going by the pics (crossing my fingers for review sample) are the size of the CPU retention plate access hole and lack of cable management holes on the motherboard tray, but the latter isn't much of an issue since the case is so open.  Removable HDD bays is a very nice benefit in my book.  You can easily remove the big hard drive cage and use that front space for a radiator.  By the way, good call on the refrigerator.  Now I recognize the case.

Now, for a Lian-Li "V" series case, there are many things that some people may not like.  It is definitely more focused on airflow, more people would have preferred to see better water cooling support particularly at the bottom of the chassis.  Many people will miss dual PSU support as well.  But at least there are holes for a 360 rad on the top of the case.  By the way guys, this case is actually overall larger than the Corsair Obsidian series and the Cooler Master ATCS 840.  Barely of course, these are all huge cases.

Well from a function standpoint I like it a lot.  Sure they may not have put enough bells and whistles to it, but I will take function over flash all the time because it will always work.

I absolutely love Lian Li's cases, but 500 for that?
I couldn't justify it if i tried; I'd much rather go with one of his less expensive and frankly better looking cases. Personally my fancy is with the PC-P50R case.

    V2120:

Notice the details: all aluminum casters, full noise reduction, side panel hinges, all anodized interior, case 99% aluminum.
My opinion, Lian Li  cases can last you a life and you'll always be satisfied unless you're upgrading to another, once you go Lian Li you'll never want to look for anything else in the same Price/elegance ratio, YES its worth every penny.

Nothing new here for Lian-Li.  Many of their cases have these features and cost much less.  The PC-V2120 just offers a compartmentalized design, easier removable HDD cage, HPTX/quad GPU support and 360 rad support by default.  The black interior on the PC-V2120X is rare for them too.

Technically some older cases have some of the same features but not as refined, for eg. the casters are newer beefier design, anodize interior, also using more materials, truthfully after looking into it this case in particular is overprice, but this could be due to getting it stateside, also the price of aluminum went up, not to mention having to pay shipping on your end is also going to be costly.

The PC-V2010 and other PC-V series cases seem to have the same casters.  Black interior is new for the V series, but not completely new for Lian-Li.  Many of their mid tower cases have it.

Those casters are more recent design, but this should justify a higher price tag over the older, they're almost the same, so yes it's overpriced.
However there are many other Lian Li cases which are OK in cost, my recent purchase was 71F which total came out to $236 shipped, which to me is fair.

Uh, it has two 140mm intake fans, a 120mm intake fan and a 140mm fan on the back of the drive bays blowing that air right over the video cards.  And it has a typical 120mm exhaust fan at the back.  As for the CPU, case airflow is less important with CPU cooling.  Some good heat sinks will get you past 4 GHz even in the Corsair Obsidian series cases which have almost no air movement.  And you don't have to mod the case to add three 120mm top fans although this will have little effect on component temperature.  By the way you can remove the front door.

Just to let you know; Lian-Li is not going to make a windowed sidepanel for the V2120(X). Cause the think there isn't much interest for a windowed sidepanel for the V2120. At least that's what they answered me.

    Sigh.

EVGA used to be a great company (I've been a customer since early 2005). But after 2017 it went completely downhill. EVGA doesn't treat customers as customers, but as complete idiots! I used to own over 30 EVGA products (videocards, motherboards, PSU's and so on). Not anymore. #evga #pathetic

Darn, newegg.ca doesn't offer this discount code. Otherwise a great deal on a well manufactured case. Thanks BG for the update.

Too bad they are not going to make a windowed side panel for this case, that's a no go for me. What's the point in making an all black interior version of the case with a premium price tag compared to the standard version and not having a windowed side panel?

The Corsair 800D has plastic parts on the inside??? Wow i'm totally surprised that a case that expensive would be like that. I mean even my cheap CM 590 has steel drive racks. The only plastic parts are the locking tabs and the front cover. CM sells metal locking tabs and with a little modding it could have a sweet new front cover and some caster wheels... if I wanted.

I couldnt justify spending $300+ on any case let alone a mATX one. I have played around with a Lian Li case before and its nice and incredibly light weight.

you wouldnt just do it yourself, to your design, that no one else has? i dont see it not having a window from factory being a deal breaker, its just too small of a item and easily installed on your own, imo.
