I'm noticing much higher cpu usage with this latest driver.  Driving temps up on my cpu but down on the gpu.

didn't notice a difference here. I forget what flag that is but running a 1 instead of 0 (or is it 0 instead of 1?) will lower your cpu usage. there is info on that flag in some of these setup threads here.

not sure why 337.5 would use more but did your hash rate go up just slightly? with more cpu usage it should have given you a kh or 2 more.

Flags set to 1 if I'm not mistaken. I'd have to look once I'm home. Hashrate wise I'm not noticing any improvement other than CPU usage and heat increase.

-H 0 = usage of a single CPU core and should lock it to CPU core 0 "zero"
-H 1 = lets it use all available CPU cores, spreads it over all CPU cores.

So yes mine are set to -H 1,1.  If i try -H 0,0 I get major desktop lag.  I'll see if -H 1,0 changes the desktop lag.

    Edit:

So -H 1,0 did help.  Usage is still high.

I believe if you completely remove the -H x,x it should use less CPU.

I only use -H with my laptops where I also CPU mine while GPU mining.
In the case of the laptops it helps get a better hash rate for the GPU if I use -H 0.
I then lock the GPU core to CPU core 0 manually threw TM plus also lock the CPU
miner to the other 7 CPU cores 1 threw 7 separating the two type miners from use of the others core/cores.

BTW while in Windows Task Manger click on the CPU tab should put everything at the top of
that screen that is using any % of the CPU so you can see just what all is using the CPU
then under Performance should show the load across each CPU core and the %.
There may be other things causing the load such as your wallets, while updating the blockchain
the wallets will use a good bit of the CPU while doing so. Check to see what else is using the CPU.
Cudaminer even while using -H 0 uses 3 to 7 % shown by TM but actual load for CPU core 0 is 30 to 50%
when locked to a single CPU core, core 0.

For cudaminer I use -H 1, but set the affinity to use thread 0,2,4,6 only (i.e.: limit number of threads it can use).
