For those who were not part of my first design of this desk you can click here: http://linustechtips...as-added/page-2 I have worked alot on refreshing the design for this desk. I have gone a more simplified route for the design and structural integrity while keeping the table top design people liked. Here are new models and the aspects of those designs: A - This is a 3x USB 3.0 compartment for keyboard mouse and something else special. B - These are the holes for the legs, this allows you to route and cable manage through the leg and to the rear of the PC. C - These are cutouts for the LEDs, THey will be RGB to match any system. D - This 2'6" keyboard/mouse section can come down to a 10 degree angle for ergonomics. E - These are rubber grommets for cable management. F - Sections of the internal part of the desk are cut out for cable management. G - Shelves for storage. H - Aluminum sheet trim for anesthetics. I - 30" Aluminum legs J - Grommets for the legs in 2 locations. These allow for different hight cases and prevents wires from damage on metal. Questions I need answered: 1. This desk is 6' long. This is what I need in a desk but would it be the size most others would be looking for?2. No matter how many orders I get I want to make these at home to prevent any issues with quality assurance. Benefit of this is that there should be no issues at all because I will be making them, second desks will be made either way if its funded or not. Downside shipping/construction might be slow. 3. I Have no affiliation with the Gaming Paradise desk that the creator did not give the desk to the buyers and they are left out. Out of the kindness of my heart I feel I should give a discount to those ripped off by the Gaming Paradise desk.4. What would you like to see on this desk? Note:I dont want to add any wire default because everyones system is different. Ex. I use optical for audio, so a 3.5mm jack would be useless. This desk is able to be taken apart in sections to allow the user to mange and route cables themselves, I think this is a huge bonus! I will be making this desk in the next coming weeks so real photos will be coming soon!

Six feet is pretty wide. When I was looking, I needed it to be 48" max. Can this design be scaled down to 54 or 48 or less? I like the wiring options. Will it hold three monitors? Is a glass top out of the question? What kind of wood are you using and will it be finished or unfinished?

Thats what I was thinking, design a smaller desk. I designed this one to hold 3x 27" monitors comfortably. Other than that yes I will design a smaller desk and will be a tad cheaper. As for a glass top, I don't think that would be and option because the wiring is sandwiched in between the two desk layers. The table top is MDF and the bracing and structure inside is 2x2's, and the desk and shelves will be wrapped in Carbon Fiber Vinyl.

As I stated in question/statement 2, I dont want to send this to china to be made. I hate ****ty products and I would rather spend time to make these myself and that way (yes it might be slower) I can provide quality assurance. I have others helping work on this for mass production, if it comes to that. I can get custom made boxes and styrofoam made. I can rent out space for construction and storage if it comes to that. Other than that I would like this to made in good-ol Canada or US (preferably Canada :) PATRIOT!). I really dont want this to end up like the Gaming Paradise Desk. First step would to be kickstart it myself and see how it goes, either way funded or not I will provide these desks.

I've had plenty of quality products made in China... Manufacturing here is too expensive Id rather my pay an arm and a leg... What is the price? Shipping cost? These are all needed before any investment is made... I'd invest but not through kickstarter I want a return...

I just don't see this doing well, with overhead and shipping cost.

6 feet wide would possible be good, but I could actually go for wider and I will be sending up 3 stations in my home. I would only set one and a laptop up on this desk more than likely, simply because I wouldn't want to clutter the desk.
Would the shelves be adjustable so that end users could tweak them to their liking? If not that is something I would like to see, if it were friction type mounts used on a weight bench.
How would logistics work overall? Funding the shipping may be outrageous honestly.
Would there be a mount for monitors, or would the end user need to request/fund that?

Shelves are height adjustable by every 6 inches. The legs that support the PC are only adjustable above 1'6" this allows a dded shelve for smaller cases and no shelve for full towers. after listen to people I am looking at overseas manufacturing. As for the mount, no a vesa mount would not be useful for all those who own this desk. Why pay for something you wont use.

This part makes me curious... Many gamers now game on 3 monitors, so why wouldn't they want a visa mount. Maybe I am completely misunderstanding the point of a gaming desk if it would be limited to one monitor. I would prefer a vesa mount over 3 single stands and wires everywhere. Unfortunately, I wouldn't purchase a desk that would have no use for a multimonitor setup.
