I’ve decided an upgrade from the 3090 hybrid I currently have to the kingpin this late into this architecture is not good enough for me. Someone else should be getting a notification soon. I hope I don’t come to regret the decision.

Fingers crossed that I can get a 4000 series KPE HC when/if they release it.

Edit: I am on the current KPE HC list, but being 80 deep into it, I don’t expect to get a notification at all.

So what happens to your notifies when you get a notify but don't purchase? Do you still have 2 slots or does that still count as one used?

You're allowed to make two purchases. But you also had to trim your notify list down to two SKUs and the queue system is no longer open for signups.
 
There hasn't been any word on how the launch of the 3090 Ti will work, if you'll be able to add it to your queue or if some completely different system will be used. So there's just no information at all how a potential 3090 Ti launch will integrate with the current queue system.

He's passing on this purchase and wonders if that means he gets another queue slot for another card.

I know the 3090 ti kingpin will be released soon but I just decide to go for the non-ti version. 

Congratulations and thanks for reporting back.  I think you made the right decision to buy it.  From my perspective, a 3090 KPE in your rig is worth more than 12 months and counting on the queues.  #NoBrainer

I hope that EVGA isn't just having a firesale of inventory on these with the alleged release of a 3090ti/super/refresh. Gonna be miffed if I drop $2K on the top of the line card to have it get made irrelevant 3 weeks later.

Not sure what you're trying to say.  The 3090 Ti was announced yesterday.  So the 3090 will not be nVidia's flagship.  It's just a matter of time for EVGA to announce possible different models of the 3090 Ti.
