I just got through.  10:38:40.  This was crazy stupid.  Thankfully I'm still in line for the Hybrid and the Hydro copper kit as well.
 
Congrats to those who got in early, no salt intended but this was crazy and pure madness again. 
 
So much for "elite" or whoever decided to launch the 3090 XC HC and reopen the KP HC cards together should be fired.  
 
Anyone have Enewt sighting yet?  I'm hoping he was able to get in early this time.

It was Hell trying to get in the queue. I must have entered my name and e-mail address over a dozen times, crashing each time, until it finally told me I was already signed up for auto-notify. Never got an e-mail, but I saw it on the My Notifies list once I was able to get that page to load.

I've never bought a card with a metal backplate. What is the purpose of the Hydro Copper line, is it for custom water loops? I just put myself in the queue like I have for every 3080 TI/non-TI card to increase my chances of getting anything, but this is the first card I'll actually get off the queue before my Elite member spin-the-wheel coupon expires. I'm probably gonna buy it if given the chance, but will I need to provide my own cooling solution or can I just slap it in?

Not to sound like a ****, but if you are asking this question you really need to do some homework on even the basics of the card.  I'm sorry, but after spending over an hour trying to get in was just crazy.  
 
But really, the water block card is meant for an open loop cooling system.  If you are asking this question, more than likely you haven't done one before.  You need to do some homework yourself and figure out a budget for what you are willing to spend.  This would also need to take into consideration the components you plan to reuse to make sure they are able to compliment both the new gpu and the custom water loop you will need for this GPU.  The KP HC is the top of the line, but it is water cooled, not air cooled.  
 
This is not something a beginner can't do, but something that does take a lot of homework and research to figure out if this is right for the user.  Maintenance is going to be more of an issue, but what you lose in the time it takes to maintain and cost it takes to complete the open loop system you will gain in performance due to heat reduction.  You will still need a good balance of parts around the gpu to make the most use of the GPU.  Congrats on getting into the queue early though.

Saw your double post, don't tell me you got in through your phone?  If so, you are the man bro.  Congrats on getting in so early.  Good to see forum people get in.  

This is a decent option for someone who doesn’t have a custom loop. But maybe a hybrid kit gpu is more sensible tbh. Queuing for a gpu you have no idea how to work with ok fine, but kingpin hc is $2400+. Big ticket for a desperation play imo, why not get an amd gpu until you can find the 30 series you want?
