Kingpin queue is moving much faster than the others, even getting on it now will probably get you a card faster than just about any queue if you got on said queue months ago.
Keep in mind, the Kingpin has only been out since December, is a limited run/low yield card, and yet we've already almost gotten through launch day (which was fairly packed, I think we're through over 300 reported queue spots at this point).

I feel like if I am just now getting on this list, then I might as well wait for the 4000 series....
With the current situation and the scalpers now also going at CPUs and even consoles, do you think the 4000 series will be better?
My bet is a 4000 series is maybe q3 22, and if there is a upgrade by this fall it would be more memory and slight upgrade to the 30 series. The Silicon shortage will only lengthen the timeline .

I have an old cooler master gpu bracket (just for sag) that looks just like EK version with 2 sliding pieces on it...but no screw to hold it, literally push in tabs and they come loose. I'm thinking of just drilling a screw into it or doing some modification to make the tabs stay permanent since it was only ten bucks...I got my 3090 FTW3 to vertically mount in my Thermaltake View 71 TG, but its not the most sturdy scenario (and stopping me from even testing my card atm), just thought I'd toss the idea out here since I didn't see it mentioned.
It's magnetic on the bottom but that has never been an issue even near HDDs and hold great there...the sliders are plastic but solid, I'm gonna use one to hold it up and the second to keep it from swaying forward (just to be safe lol)...worked with just the tabs on my 1070 SC2 although it wasn't really so necessary then.

4000-series cards will have the same supply issues because scalpers will take advantage now that they've found a nice juicy market to poach.
Hopefully eVGA will continue the queue system through that launch & save us the trouble of having to wait for it to be set up again.
And I likewise would estimate the 40xx-series will be out around the ladder half of 2022 - only thing we can expect this year is, maybe, a refresh, ala the Super series for the 20-series cards. Maybe a 3080 Ti, 3070 Super (3080 goes the way of the dodo). It would keep the supply spread about the same (3080 Ti would be chips that can't quite hit 3090 specs, 3070 Super would be 3080 dies that can't quite hit 3080 spec), allow them to jack up prices cuz assumably more VRAM, and lead to another round of super-salt-mcScalpsalots all about.

i finally got my kingpin last week is crazy that every batch that goes out i see 10 kp's up for sale on ebay for $3400 seems like most rather make the $1400 then keep the card
