1) 3-way bridge can be used for 2-way as well.
Yes, AVX512 is AVX3 setting. If application does not use these instruction setting offset to 3 does not affect anything.
sam nelsonyou all know 4/way works just as well or even better than it ever did. I use my 4 titian x pascals in 4/way sli in every thing 24/7 . the dif is in the load you put them under. if you only do 1080p you don't even need my titian blacks lol. 2k and 3k stil no need. at 4k res you are just starting to make 4/way pascals work, in most things (games)they will run around 60% on all 4 at gsyn. but push your res to 8k surround and gsyn they jump up to the 90+ % on all 4. so having 4 in 4/way for most out here would be a waste . I just fill it should be mine to say not NVidia to tell me lol. I love my Titians that are not so post to work in 4/way ,but i'm ready to try 2/way and they be here in just a few days . will be my first time running kingpins. and my first dark bard also .
zurvv@sam, don't worry about this Titan X at this stage. I sold all of my a few weeks ago for $900 a pop (i don't understand why someone would want them...).TXp or Ti sir :) are you going to vapchill the CPU? can that even handle the heat pumping out of the CPU? I used to use vapochill cooling, but the units i had weren't powerful enough to keep the CPU in sub zero temps - if you aren't subzero then what is the point? (and this was a long time ago.) You really aren't getting any better OC out of it, but with the HUGE power bill cost (and the god damn hum of the cooler :) ) That is the same reason i stopped used chillers too. Damn noise! :) maybe check this out:http://koolance.com/erm-3k3ua-liquid-cooling-system-aluminum

Iamroguei cant buy this mobowhat do i do to become elite member?
Iamroguei cant buy this moboi think i would if i could as i really dont like the low quality of FTW-K LEDsOverall mobo is good.do you think i can get more of the CPU by switching mobos? https://www.3dmark.com/fs/14507817 this si me, SLI is crappy as one of my cards clocks only +80MHz + 400MHzthe other one does 125MHz/510MHzwhat do i do to become elite member?

Glad to see someone else here going to use it. I made my decision after looking at this chart - I felt that it had the best per core performance out of the box and compared to the 16 and 18 core units will not be as power hungry and temperature management will be easier when OC'd bcavnaugh do you have a way to delid it?
GGTV-JonMy original plan for an X299 Dark was to use 1 of the Samsung 512GB 960 pro M.2 as the OS drive, an 800GB Intel 750 U.2 for games and an Intel 1.2TB 750 U.2 for everything else but with that the Samsung would have to be put into the 80mm M.2 slot .
gobstoppableNot sure if this has been asked, but I was looking for the 2nd usb 3.0 header, I thought I remember reading it would have 2 internal usb 3.0 headers. Looking closer it’s described as 2 from 1 internal header. Does that mean it mean I’m required to buy an adapter and run both usb 3.0 connection from one internal header?

Multiple U.2 seems messy and similar cost.
zurvv Isn't the Samsung 960 pro much faster than that intel nvme?
Iamroguezurvv Isn't the Samsung 960 pro much faster than that intel nvme? get intel optane drive, its the best for OS you can getand yes 960pro is faster in pute numbers but optane beats it in overall performance ale about 7980xe, what v you use at 5ghz? and what temps do you have?
sam nelsonIntel Optane SSD 900P (280GB, 2.5in w/ U.2-M.2 connector PCIe 4.0, 20nm, 3D XPoint) $369.99 i'm going to get 2 off them to use in the u2 plug ins in raid 0 at 64g band with and they only pull from pcm not from the pcie slots . so if I end up going to 4 kingpins I will have x8 8 16 8 . trun of m2 they pull from pcie slots . but for now i'm going with x16 off x16 off both u2 on for 64g band and using intels new 3d xpoint memory no transistors very fast and they realy not been able to realy test just how fast yet . but faster than 960 pro's . that was what I was going to use
gobstoppablesomewhere i read that i could run 2x 960 pro's in raid 0 using the x299 dark board, am i mistaken? the only options i see in the bios are for sata raid array's
