Depends on what slots you are going to use, I take it your looking to do a setup that does 16x for both cards correct?

On the X299 Dark, especially if you are using the new 2.75 slot EVGA cards, we recommend the 4 slot bridge.

Considering you are using the same slots as the OP for 16x then you use the bridge you have Look at the diagrams in this link - https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2868919 Your old 2 lot 1080 HB bridge uses the same spacing as the new 4 slot NVLink bridge for the 2080 series cards

As EVGATech_RayH stated, 4 slot. The numbering scheme of the nvlink changed, so nvlink and HB bridge numbers are different.

Your old 2 lot 1080 HB bridge uses the same spacing as the new 4 slot NVLink bridge for the 2080 series cards
thanks for the support im amazed about the community support of evga im new to evga family i got the x299 dark about after a lot of research and gamers nexus and Buildzoid Actually Hardcore Overclocking recommended this board as best of best and kingpin im fan of him and he is with EVGA team

He jumped into a thread where the OP has an 2080ti FTW3 and asked about what bridge for an 1080ti and then stated he already had a 2 slot HB bridge for them
Definitely didn’t realize this post was in the wrong section. Maybe a mod can move the posts over to the long list of 1000 series HB Slot bridges that already has the answer repeatedly posted lol.
