Wondering if this would be possible.
 
With the EVGA Z170 Stinger you get 1 M2 Key E slot that you can put wireless cards into. (this is it ) to allow for wireless cards
If you bought a M.2 2280 SSD, for example: 
 
And put it into 
It is an adapter that extends an M2 Key E size card to an M2 2280 size card.
 
Could you possibly have the SSD operating through that port?
 
I know its pretty pointless and you should just get an SSD but this is more for curiosity.
