@ Gronar   That's cutting it way to close for my comfort.  The spec EVGA has for the 2080 Super XC Ultra Gaming is 650 Watt or greater.  I would never risk my nice and expensive hardware with a PSU that didn't have some decent headroom with at least a gold rating.

I looked at the specs at the two lowest model 2080 Supers and they all show 650 Watt or greater > https://www.evga.com/products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=8d4f60c5-948c-40f4-95e0-c6c5429d4298

Yeah I know that, then why would the PSU calculator that EVGA put on this very site show me 550 and link me to recommend 550w PSU's?  (removed) is counter productive.

I guess you answered your own original question.  If it was me, I would suspect the calculator didn't give me an accurate estimate.  This assuming all hardware info was entered properly.  I'd go by EVGA's published specs.  If you really want to get it clarified more, call EVGA tech support directly.

Hear are my two cents from what I experienced in my SFX build and my 2080ti. Had a Silverston SFX-700g, returned it for another brand new one and also tried the Silverston SFX-L 800w. Even with overclock I was below 325 watts on GPU and 7700k overclock to 5ghz was with MB and of ram was ideal at 243w under heavy load.

My issue was while gaming with OC my computer would reboot with just a power kernal. Fix before discovering it was Silverstone rail was take GPU of off, power limit to 90% and restrict frames to 144hz.

After months of trouble shooting, found that Corsair sf750 solved all my problems, can run full overclock and running stable. Something to do with Silverstone sfx 12v rails. Who knew.

All the people saying you need monster PSU probably use the wrong calculators or planning to run a 2nd 2080ti because why the hell not!

You need a higher Wattage Power Supply on the X299 Platform over the Z390 Platform.

Just got a 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid and paired with an i9 9900K. I have a +125 core OC on the GPU and my CPU is OC to all core 5.0ghz. Monitor is 4K 144Hz. Other devices in my PC are two m.2 SSD, one HDD, 2x Noctua 140mm intake fans, Corsair H100i Platinum 240mm CPU cooler.

My power supply is an EVGA Supernova 850 G2 and I am just fine.

For kicks I bought a Kill A Watt a few days ago and tried it yesterday. Running Prime95 29.6 smallest FFT / FMA3 / highest load, the Kill A Watt showed about 380-390 watts used. Fired up Time Spy Extreme and then F1 2019 @ 4K 144Hz. My max wattage was 590 watts, with my above settings and PC set to high performance power profile. An 850w PSU is more than enough for the 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra for the vast majority of people. Based on OP's PC specs he will be fine too.

Yes the 850 is fine for a single card on the Z390 Motherboard.
So far I have only seen 620 Watts Benchmarking with the KPE and the Intel® Core™ i9-9900KF Processor

I have an EVGA Supernova P2 850 and it's more than enough (see my specs here below).

SPECS: AMD 2700x, ASUS Crosshair VII Hero, G-SKILL Trident 16GB 3200MHz, EVGA 2080TI FTW3 Ultra
