I use a Corsair K63 Wireless. It's a pretty good keyboard. Despite it starting to show it's age and limitations (only blue backlighting and iCue presets), I'm still quite happy with the performance. Would have to see actual reviews of these to know if it's worth changing my existing keyboard

How do these keyboards stack up to the Razer Blackwidows? Deciding between those two

Do the stabilizers come factory lubed and are they plate mount or pcb mount?

They seem to be a fair bit better, both in terms of switches and stabilizers, and price. I've seen these drop sharply in price, as low as 60 from newegg and 45 on ebay. For a full size hotswap keyboard with support for all switches, it seems like a decent deal.

I have a z15 and it's mostly great. I unfortunately bought the silver switches model, which I wasn't a fan of. To be fair the switches feel really nice but I kept making mistakes when typing text. Maybe if you only game they are ok. It comes with 8 speed bronze clicky switches and to be honest those are much better, but they are loud. I ended up ordering Kailh purple pro switches and replacing them, and they are very similar to the silver but with a bump that prevents accidental activation, and they are also quiet. Love those. So just keep that in mind. Get the bronze unless the clicky sound annoys you. The good part is that you can always replace switches, but then you have to add to the cost of the keyboard.

I'm on the same boat. EVGA isn't particularly known for keyboards, willing to try something new but my corsair is just fine thus far.

A hot swappable keyboard where you can only swap out 3 types of switches, seems like a total waste of money.

Is the keyboard lighting as good as it looks in the videos? My Corsair K70 has the problem where the lights don't fully illuminate some keys, for example the CAPS LOCK key has CAPS properly illuminated but the "LOCK" part is half illuminated. It's a subtle detail that most won't notice but as an owner it's annoying.

The 'linear' switches... what standard switch are they similar to? I am partial to brown switches in feel and sound. How far off are the linear switches on the z15 from the brown switches?

One other question about the key customization WITHOUT having to run the software. I seem to have bad luck finding a keyboard that will allow me to set the colors of the keys to what I want, and then NOT have to have the software running for it to take effect. I returned a Razer that had to have the software running. I just took delivery of my K70 m2, and I can't seem to get the color choices to stick on this thing w/o the software running either. BOth have onboard storage... but it just doesn't seem to work w/o the software running. I may be an idiot however? For the Z15.... Hypothetically speaking, would I be able to set the colors for EACH individual key to whatever I want... and then NEVER run the software again, and have those colors be present on the keyboard when I turn my PC on?

I bought the Z20 and now I hope I can send it back for a full refund. TOF is a joke. I guess that's why it was on sale.

TOF itself will not wake the computer or put it to sleep AFAIK. it simply triggers the lighting effect when the selected event occurs. it does work but you will have to play with your approaching distance. I use 40cm and its good enough you do not have to keep UnleashRGB running in the background. if you unplug the kb for an extended period of time or have power loss, you might have to open and close the software to push the profile back into the device's memory. when you open unleashRGB, select the TOF tab and then close it. the keyboard will remember. its fussy but it works. to EVGAs credit, RGB controls suck for almost all manufs. Gskill's RAM RGB software is probably the most reliable I've seen. Gigabyte sucks, corsair sucks, EVGA is wishywashy... pick your poison.
