Apparently the unit in Jay's video has a USB type C on the rear IO panel marked SS-10, but the picture on the product page shows SS-20. The manual also calls out 10Gbps, not 20. So I'm guessing that feature was pulled after the pictures on the product page were taken?

Early images I think used an engineering sample of the I/O cover, but that one wasn't updated when we received the production boards.  We've fixed the image now, so that it correctly shows SS-10.  If it still shows up with SS-20, it's just a cache issue.

Exactly what I thought, Lee. Thanks for the update!

Outstanding! Now please for the love of technology and superior hardware, can EVGA find it in its heart to make:

1. This MB a bit more affordable? I want one, but at 689.00 USD, the wife will murder me. The jury and the judge will understand why. It will look so good in my CaseLabs (RIP) Merlin ST10 though.
2. Make an ITX version in the same rock solid manner of the boards I have to to enjoy from EVGA?

So assuming I end up getting one. Would two 32gb ddr5 modules be unstable for ram setup.. 3600 or 4000? Jay’s review said it would only support two 16 gb ram modules.

If I can’t have 64 gb of ram it’s not viable for my use case.

It says "up to 64GB" on the specs, so I think you'll be fine, but it is DDR4, not ddr5.

Jay was freewheeling a bit at that point in the video.  The board supports DDR4 of up to 32GB per DIMM, up to a total of 64GB.

Jayz 2 cents review was great..  If for whatever reason Adler lake is a bust, I would definitely consider switching over to amd and running one of these x570 Darks.

Can I please ask this, the X570 DARK rear USB10gbps ports, are these from Chipset or CPU, I suppose they are from Chipset ? The reason I'm asking is I suppose EVGA is skipping on those "12" USB ports on this board, either be it OC / Stability of USB / any other reason.

The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. We do have the manual up on the website, but the answer is that it pulls from the chipset.

Missed the manual my bad. Checked it now, there are less USB ports from CPU overall as a whole. Thank you very much.

I'm also wondering about retail release for this board in another country like @stylistics, i'm in Australia though and really wanting to go evga for a motherboard and switching from intel to amd for the first time and want to slowly get parts to build it, also waiting for the 3d v cache cpus for it as well, it'll 70% be used for gaming while also streaming, video editing and 3d rendering, more of a hobby sort of thing hence why i don't need to get crazy and go for hedt, want to stick with mainstream for my needs. Waiting for 4000 series gpus and hopefully a kingpin one as can't get 3090 kingpins anymore in Australia, been that way for a while. I have a thermaltake level 20 xt case ready to go for the board and wondering if i can get an adapter for the front usb c internal connector as it seems to be a standard 19 pin typical usb 3 internal connector and would like to be able to utilise it and put it in the usb c header on the board itself

I decided not to buy the EVGA X570 dark motherboard today when my spot in the queue came up.  The board can't fit any 3090 with active backside VRAM cooling.  The VRM heatsink is right up against the top PCIEx16 slot.  Someone else who has the board showed me a picture of their card in the top PCIEx16 slot and how little clearance there was with just an air cooled 3090.  I'd need to take the VRM heatsink off the motherboard and cut it apart to get my 3090s to fit in that slot.

It'd be really nice if Evga sold their entire product line up globally instead of biastly to the US and give everyone else barely a scrap of their products, pretty unfair they don't release outside of the US, was really hoping for Evga to bring their top kingpin gpus to Australia for decent time but barely got any here and also wish they released their Dark motherboards here as well but doesn't look like it'll happen, the ftw x570 is listed but where's the dark and the x570 should've been listed before even mentioning z690 dark and classfied boards which are apparently coming soon as well but why no X570 dark outside the US, Eteknix got a sample in the UK but evga eu site has zero mention of it and nothing here in Australia either, please broaden your Audience Evga and give everyone around the world a chance to buy your products I'm sick of buying the rubbish brands i am as i cannot get your stuff here so please bring every product you sell on your US store to europe, Australia and globally where you sell so everyone gets a chance and you have more customers as well as happy customers and make more sales which you would really benefit from so please bring x570 dark to Australia and Europe

I mean if there was a way to distribute every EVGA product globally and turn a profit, then I'm sure that EVGA would be on board.
Even without COVID, I'm sure that logistically, this easier said than done.
I think you may get further voicing this on the wholesale or retail level, or just paying the premium for the product you want to be shipped to the other side of the world.
But as far as an American company distributing the product they produce in the country they reside in first...
And truly, I don't mean to be rude, but I would really think that the Australian consumer would be accustomed to getting newly released products after other markets. I mean it costs more and takes longer for a company to get these products to you.
Also to be fair, is very difficult to get this board even in the US. The board was released in September, I've seen one board being sold for a markup on stockX, and only one vendor selling this board above MSRP (and not even sure it was legit).
Also to EVGA's credit their queue has gone much faster than the GPU queue.i managed to get signed up within the first 24 hours, but still hours after the queue went live, and still managed to get a board in less than 2 months!
Also keep in mind that they aren't the size of companies like Asus or MSI.

That is well said man, lots of very valuable and valid points which i get and understand. Evga is a fantastic company with top of the line products as well as customer service, I've always wanted both an evga motherboard and graphics card but due to availability here in Australia it gets quite difficult and have to go other brands unfortunately but however all my systems have been powered by Evgas power supplies. It's so understandable with covid affecting a lot of things it sucks as it's been hard for everyone to get anything. I'm still rocking a fairly decent system which is a couple generations old with some gear but still does the job. It's hard finding somewhere that'll ship to Australia as evga sadly doesn't and also won't accept postal forwarding services which really sucks as I'd buy directly from evga if i could. That's not rude at all you explained it well and makes a lot of sense as it would cost more to get it out there as it isn't the country evga resides in. It has been difficult even over there getting it as well just really sucks with covid and everything getting short to shelve and sell and distribute. Hopefully they can make enough eventually to send globally despite newer stuff being released, I'd still buy older gear until the newer stuff is tested long term. It all makes sense just sucks how it is but others would feel the same to a degree. It'd be really nice to get their stuff here, i know they're not as big as other companies but in my opinion and eyes smaller companies outdo the bigger ones at times and that's where evga comes in their products have always interested me and i hope that one day i can own a motherboard and gpu from evga as well as their power supplies. Their motherboards have always outstood the rest and look awesome and their graphics cards I'd love to join it all up as they make the best ones i will admit and would love to own all the future kingpin gear i keep eyeing off lol. One day it'll happen just got to be patient

You know AMD's been on a winning streak when EVGA finally makes an AMD board! :D WOOT!

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd.

Hell yes! 100% I finally got my hands on one and on its way to me in Australia. I'm so freaking excited as I've always wanted an evga motherboard. I'm also switching over from intel to AMD for the first time too. My current rig will stay alive and serve another purpose but won't be thrown out as it's stilk decent and will set it up for family and friends to play on and have their game library on it etc while being a storage server on the network but this evga board looks awesome i know it'll work well I can't wait to get it and put it all together with all new parts!

I know I'm quite late in replying to you and I apologize.
Have you thought of vertical mounting your gpu? It'd solve any clearance issue you might have.

Ordered mine on Saturday, just arrived this morning.

Edit: very stable board, much better efficiency than my old board, 6090 in cinebench r20 @4.6ghz vs 5700 @ 4.7ghz on the old board. Even m.2 performance is a bit higher. I can boot 4.8ghz and run benches, memory runs 4000 14-13-13-21 without whea errors. So far the only issue ive found is the slow usb initialization causing me to miss the bios everytime.

Re: Introducing the EVGA X570 DARK Motherboard 2022/02/15 14:41:42 (permalink)
Which USB ports/hub is directly linked to the CPU?  I have an Xtreme that has 2 Red USB ports that are on the CPU USB hub.

Also how does the Dark compare to the Xtreme for gaming, connectivity, etc.  I'm happy with my Xtreme but looking for a change.

EDIT: Is the board compatible with a Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black?

EDIT2: 243 micro second DPC latency, ouch

So far the only issue ive found is the slow usb initialization causing me to miss the bios everytime.

It's your GPU... Are you running a 30 series GPU?
If so, it's an issue with 30 series and display port on some monitors... There is a fix released by Nvidia... Gloss over the 30 series forum pages
