tuffarts 8 x PCIe power single PSU = Quad SLI That's actually 8 split PCI-E for a total of 16 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors. 4-way 580 Classy's are no match for this bad boy!

Nice, can't wait to see the lower watt versions. I think they said 1000, 850, and 750? Wonder when those will be out.

I wish every company packaged PSU this way, if they did id never throw away the box. Anyways looks worth it for the $449, the 1200i is like $330 with no sleeved cables and less wattage. But I don't need that much wattage ever so any idea when we may see the lower wattage psu? And will they offer all the same features as far as monitoring and sleeved cables?

The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. About time! Shows that EVGA has their thumb on the enthusiast community with this power supply. Rubber feet, individually sleeves wires, dip switches for alternative modes, USB connections... The unboxing showed it had a Razer-like showcase. Which isn't a bad thing, especially since it included a pouch for all the wiring you may not use at that time - but most likely will sometime down the road. Good job, EVGA. Three questions - 1) Is there a specific function for the 'heavy duty' power cable, other than it has a "premium" look? 2) Are there more combinations for the DIP switches besides using 5 and 1,2,3 or 4, or all off? 3) Power supply is currently pending to be rated? So it may not be a Gold standard... Most important question of all - How much is this power supply?

Jacob - will the software for this PSU be compatible with most motherboards or only EVGA boards? I see it requires that it be connected to the motherboard's USB header - will it work with the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_2011/Rampage_IV_Extreme/)?
In case Jacob is busy, I don't mind answering that. I believe tt should work on the Asus boards....all motherboards have USB ports on the board to connect the ones in the case. You shouldn't have a problem with yours.

Looking and Zooming in Newegg's picture: Yes. At the bottom-right hand of the board there's two USB ports. Use those.

EVGA_JacobF The winners for giveaway will ship this week. So does this mean that those who buy them at the store today also won't ship til later this week given that: **SPECIAL NOTE** We have not officially launched/started shipping these power supplies as of this time. Prize winners of this contest will be the first shipped once we launch, but it may be longer than 15 business days. Or did someone drop the ball? Not trying to be difficult, just wondering if everyone has to wait for stock to come in.
