Doubtful, but you can send a support ticket to be sure. Keep it super simple if you want it addressed anytime soon. Also remember that this is just for the notification system. You won't be able to purchase a card until your turn comes up, and when that happens, you'll have the better part of 8 hours to figure out what discount is applicable (if any). With all of the scalpers making alt accounts and spamming the boards to get elite status, there will be a long, long wait before you get notified. Plenty of time to ask support what applies to new hardware.

Well my 5% coupon expires in like 2 months. I hope I get the GPU before that. I've been on the queue for the xc3 black 3080 since 9/27/2020 and nothing. I hate scalpers so much, it is almost impossible to fight them. EVGA should use IP address filter +  limit 1 card per householder + limit 1 card per CC/PayPal

Dont they restrict card buying at 1 per household already?

Hope to finally secure one for myself!

Not that I'll ever get a stand-alone card, but I really do appreciate the existence of the queue.

I passed on all of them but the one I wanted but still I wasn't going to be missing out because I picked the wrong card.

You can also clearly see I was in the auto notify queue for a few cards even before they announced the program.

Money isn't an issue to me, I am just disappointed. MSRP should have been at least 1k to start and 1.2 for the EVGA FTW 3. Paying 1.5k on a 3080 ti GPU is somewhat crazy when you can game top-notch with a 3080 at 700. You're paying $600 more for a couple more frameworks that can go to a ryzen 5900X or something.

Oh absolutely. Hundred percent agree with you on this being ridiculous, this is just taking advantage of a situation driven by the lack of serious competition. Shortages have been endemic for years due to lack of chip manufacturing capacity, which has driven prices up artificially, and now with all this other stuff driving them further the consumer is just getting screwed.

Really though whose fault is it ultimately? If you wouldn't covet this stuff so much (me too) and all the rest of us who are also willing to pay whatever to have what they want if WE didn't take what is essentially just a luxury pastime we could all live without and put unbelievably high value on the ability to do it (even when we could ALREADY do it at just sliglthy to moderately worse performance) if WE didn't act like we would die without this stuff.... Do you really think it would be as bad as it is? Would scalpers buy up cards if there was no one willing to pay them their ransom?

Miners obviously are another issue but if we weren't constantly giving in do you think they would really be that imoactful?

If you don't like the way pricing is going if you think all of this "ridiculous" don't you also think you should just stop being part of that "ridiculousness"?I personally know it's a luxury and I know that I shouldn't be upset about increasing costs for something I absolutely have the full ability to stop participating in any time I want. I also know I don't have to pay scalpers and never would give them anything but what the item actually costs but I don't blame them for taking advantage of people who can't do the same.

If you're going to be angry with anyone be angry with your fellow gamers as they are the reason why things were able to get as bad as they are.

Business is business there will always be people wanting to make money and anyone who can sell a product has a reoosob responsibility to get what that product is valued at... It's up to us to set that value and so far we have set it pretty darn "ridiculously" high.
