I have one of these I was going to use but now I think I should just trade it or give it away or something, IDK how is the 1080p performance of these badboys? My kid already has a badass battlestation (two actually) with much more powerful EVGA GPU's (Thank you @EVGA_JacobF) but perhaps we could use this as a backup rig for his friends or cousins when they come over.

I had a 2080Ti and sold it shortly before the 3000 series came out figuring I'd get a 3070 or 3080 before the mining and shortages changed that.  The 3070 is essentially a 2080Ti; still a great card.
 
Back on the 3060 topic, gaming on a 2560x1440 @165Hz FreeSync monitor has been working well here.  Sure it's not 165Hz and i.e. I launched 'The Witcher 3' here with everything set to Ultra except motion blur and I'm getting 86 FPS in the rain standing there with foliage fluttering in the wind and it looks amazing.
 
On some sites I'll read these reviews that say the 3060 isn't a great card OK well whatever.  :)  If a dual fan 3070 EVGA comes out within 3 months I can still step-up for another 50% framerate increase or so in my case (around 130 FPS) but in reality the game will still look the same on a variable refresh rate monitor.  To max out this monitor I'd need a 3090 and can't spend that much right now.
 
This GPU debate all depends on what you are coming from IMO.  @1440p resolution my 1060 was a great GPU for the older games but wasn't making it a smooth experience on this monitor.  Last night I was only going to play an hour but ended up playing 4 hours...

I've got myself into Queue exactly one month ago at 09:01:58 and I had high hopes that in a month or so I may get a card...at a decent price but at this rate maybe in September?

If I didn't have an already pretty decent computer I swear on Dell I would buy an Alienware or any pre built PC and don't even "look back" :)

This doesn't have much to do with evga but more with Nvidia, but their incompetence is creating a big market gap desiring to be filled. This is the reason Intel could produce a consumer grade GPU, and even though it may not be the best around once it releases, it will be enough to solidify their gpu position the market. This means more competition overall, and is actually bad in the long term. I hope all of this bites back at nvidia for selling us out to miners. They even rolled back the bios restrictions on mining for the rtx 3060 partially. Now we only need an announcement like "Huawei decides to produce gaming gpu's". This will be the death sentence. Hope the market corrects itself and all the scalpers are helping out enormously :).

Thats not Nvidia fault that the US queue is moving and the EU queue isn't. It's evga fault because they don't send here anything for weeks.

Just for information, I wrote to EVGA weeks ago to take more into account the European queue, as it has only advanced a minute... Today, EVGA answer me:

I was in the drop, and I can seriously say I can feel everyones frustration about the current situation. I didn't come here to brag but rather to give hope. Who knows all the waiting will not be in vain, and when bitcoin drops we can expect serious bargains as due compensation. I wish the best to all of you and will update the EU queue spreadsheet. Stay strong guys.

Anyone else laugh when you read "built for gamers". Built for miners and bots. Why even give any store stock of your cards to stores. There is no need to give them anything. Let everyone join a queue and only fulfill your cards through the queue. Times have changed. There is no reason to go through stores anymore.
