Intel will invest several billion dollars in the plant but they will be grants and tax breaks in return. Intel is responsible for about 8 percent of Israel's tech exports.

Good all round! Yeah, I wish they had said what chips too. Maybe limited to new 10nm? Nah, that's too good. Whatever increased supply made by Intel in a country well know for good technicians can't be bad.

That's what big companies do. Invest anywhere they can to make a higher profit margin.

Investing 5 billion dollars abroad after telling us that tax breaks would bring manufacturing jobs to this country is a bit strange:

"The real answer is not a trade war. It's not restrictions," Krzanich said. "It's really about making the U.S. more competitive, lowering the tax rates, making it easier for people to do manufacturing here."

Granted, these kinds of statements by the CEO of Intel were made before Ryzen debuted last year. Therefore, now, this is about American jobs versus preventing an AMD resurgence...what matters most? Politics be damned.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].
