Hello,
I have a custom computer that was built with 2 EVGA GeForce GT 710 1GB cards (P/N: 01G-P3-2716-KR). I removed the cards and replaced them with a card more suitable for gaming, and want to re-purpose the 710s. However, the cooling fans were missing. I contacted the computer builder and they sent me the fans, which consisted of the fan itself, three small screws, and a thin power cable about 4 inches long. I see how the fan would mount to the card, but have no idea where to plug in the power cable. All the pictures I see of the card on this site do not show the power cable, but there does not appear to be any place to connect the cable under the fan. I cannot find any documentation or YouTube videos on how to do this.

Picture is enclosed. Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums.

Remove the four large screws and one small screw in the corner from the back of the GT 710 (see image 7) which will then allow you to remove the heatsink and expose the fan header located on the PCB.

You will need to clean the old TIM from the GPU chip and heatsink and apply new TIM such as MX-4 or similar between the GPU chip and the heatsink..One BB-sized or a little smaller drop of TIM in the center of the GPU chip will be good.
