If so if they're expected to be in large quantity on t(h)i unveil...and perhaps a large % being put to market via the EVGA website? I noticed there were no answers to the several "if I get a card how do I get another card?" posts which makes me hopeful your trying to make it harder for your market to be exploited, navigated by code/ bots.. not sure if that would be feasible logistically opposed to pushing product in mass to retailers what EVGA has already done to make there product available to (more) end users is a great

my question is if the upgrade will be nominal or a nice jump to warrant an upgrade.

Considering the 30-series launch was September 2020 and it is now May 2021, I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing about a 40-series line of video cards in the next few months.  And by that time, the 30-series cards which are next to impossible to get anyway would be considered "last generation".

Rumors point to an announcement of 3070ti/3080ti end of May with "shipment" beginning in June, but the rumored dates have been slipping and could just get canned in the end. If it does happen, though, it would be an opportunity for Nvidia and EVGA both to try new methods to get RTX cards to actual gamers...

I personally am leaning to no on this one after fallowing the rumors. EVGA might do a revision at any time but for NVIDIA to do a Super or Ti version I would expect a press event livestream. Those take a press invite to take part in the stream and would go out a week or two earlier then the event. The second those go out rumors of the live stream would be over social media even if what is shown isn’t known and sometimes they are for new updated features like DLSS updates or like Titan series cards not new gaming graphics products. So far I haven’t heard of a press event so I really can’t say I expect new cards on the shelf.

As for the 40XX series normally a generation is at least two years and sometimes three years. The 30XX series was a major improvement so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we don’t see the Ti until 2022 and the 40XX in fall 2023 when supplies of chips improve. This is also because a chip shortage and trying to do tests of a new chip could be a slower process then it would be without the crunch.

They don't do new generation every year starting from 10xx at least, and now it would not make any sense at all.

exactly, it would be absurd to release the 4*** series now. Probably they will just skipp 2021

That is a very sad thought. We live in a world where a company can't even supply the demand for their existing Gen and yet would have the audacity to push out the next gen (which they also won't be able to supply). I would guess it will be a while before we start hearing about the 4000s and they will save that puppy for when the revenue curve is starting to flatten out. Once that happens they will "amazingly produce the 4000 series cards" (which were probably proof of concept in late 2020).

Only if AMD came out with something and took the lead at least the perception of taking the performance lead. Right now
with the tightness of chip supple i don't see anything new being launched anytime soon. At least that u could get your hands
    on.

Thats when the 3080 Ti is supposidly going to release yeah, but if you already have a 3080 or the chance to buy a 3080 just get the 3080, at best its like a 10% performance boost and 2gb more VRAM and slightly more bandwidth.

The latest RTX 3080 Ti release date rumors peg it for launch into retail on June 3, 2021, with the reviews dropping the day before, on June 2. The latest rumors also suggest we'll have a full announcement ahead of time, on May 31, where we'll get the general speeds and feeds for the new card.

The release of the 3080ti and 3070ti have been pretty much verified.

My question is how many different skus will EVGA release? If they have 8 different skus, then it'll be that much tougher for people to get a hold of cards since ppl will be setting up in que for every available sku and end up buying multiple cards rather than the 1 sku limit per household

If the "lite hash rate" rumor is true, then Nvidia might have been stockpiling units of the revised cards. If they launch alongside the 3080 Ti, that could mean a significant injection of supply into the market. Not expecting it to go back to normal but at least hoping we might go back to December-January levels of stock.

That's if Ngreedia didn't divert 90% to their CMP line which has made them a ton of $$$.

Ehh, most CMP devices are Turing-based, only the 90HX is based on GA102. So I think it might not be as big of an issue.
