I don’t think this problem is going to go away any time soon. Now miners and scalpers both know that people have more money than sense. The companies know this too. It’s a bad time to be a gamer.

I gave in and went to ebay. I know it sucks, but i was tired of losing to Bots and just went with it. It is what it is, Im happy now though.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Battling the bots does get tiresome but don't have the budget to pay scalper prices. My local GameStop may be getting some cards in soon. They do have 1 Tuff Gaming 1660 super for $305. We'll see if they get any of the 3000 series in and what the prices are. Until then I'll keep battling the bots at NewEgg, Amazon and BestBuy.

But what about the notify program here on EVGA? I just got recommended to come here, enroll and take a chance. so I did,
I have basically selected every 3080 (if I'm going through this pain, I might as well get one that will last me for a while...)
whats peoples experience with this program, how long do they take to come through?
this should be good for gamers and EVGA?
also is there an advantage to being a "Elite"member? if there is, I'll buy a couple of mice to get me started...

I am pretty stoked with my 1650s.
Its definitely better than the onboard graphics.
I keep looking forward to the day pc parts are in ready supply again.

Oh I understand both sides of it too but I chose to go without a new GPU rather than make the problem worse. It’s easier to get a console so I got a Series X for now. Not the ideal solution seeing how I just built a new computer in February and my 5600X is using my 780 Ti but I won’t feed this scalping madness. The more people that do, the more of a problem it’s going to be. Most of these scalpers were scalping sneakers until they realized gamers are just as dumb.

Glad to hear you got something and it was a good deal non the less! I figured at this point I am going to wait, made it this far. Worst case scenario I will 3D print a RTX 3090 shroud to go over my GTX 950 so my AMD TR 3960x will stop judging it....

Understand it or not, they are contributing to keeping scalpers ..well..scalping.. Let them eat their losses a few times and they'll stop scalping PC parts.

Try Reddit. r/hardwareswap there's people selling and trading all the time. It's how I went from a 2070Super to a 3060Ti to a 3080 for $450.

Theprophe, yeah crypto is booming right now. I don't think its going to slow down either as a lot of company's are adopting it and hedging their bets on it due to the inflation that has come with the deficit that were in.

I believe that the only store that made the things right was EVGA with their queue system. Others retailers and stores do not care about customers, so they let scalpers using bots buying everything.
