I'm with Fred; we call ourselves hackers and we follow a long and rich tradition. We have our own language, history, stories, and behaviors. We are a subculture. Would you call a Goth an Emo? Absolutely not. Likewise, those that only manipulate computers are not hackers, they are crackers, script kiddies and/or lamers.

You hate crackers, not hackers. Hackers are people that muck around with something to get it to work...a cracker is someone who breaks into something with malicious intent. You don't hate hackers, you hate crackers.
Hackers are good. They are the folks who figure out how to overclock, run an OS on hardware it's not suppose to run on, etc. etc. You know, those geeks who do things just because it's a challenge with no malicious intent.
Crackers, on the other hand, are the folks who break into things to do bad things.
Sorry, I just hate seeing the terms misplaced.

ok i will say it again because it seems people are missing it.
the website to the guys that did this have this on there site.( I will not mention the site name )
******.Org | Hacker Site, Turkish Hackers, Hack Site, Social Engineering, TurkGroup, Cyber, Hack Forum, Site Hack
So in the title of this website it says it not once not twice but five times the word Hacker. It is safe to say that our website got hacked and they are in deed hackers if its plastered all over the website.
To forum mod I respectfully ask you to please lock this thread. Its time to move on.

Just because the guys that cracked your site are too young, stupid, and ignorant to know the difference between a hacker and a cracker doesn't prove anything. Meanings of words don't change because of peoples ignorance. They simply watched Hackers too many times. I can have the terms, nuclear physicist, rocket scientist, astronaut, and deep sea diver in the title of my website....it doesn't mean I'm any of those things. Sometimes I think I should start a class action suit against Fox "News" and others of their ilk for causing brain damage to the masses.
