For your config try bigadv and 7 cores for SMP if you run folding 24/7 or close to it. If you can't do 24/7, just run the SMP client with 7 cores and without bigadv.

Until I found this little awesome program, I was reluctant to use F@H with my pair of GTX 470 SC+. Thanks a lot! This is so easy to use.

Thanks for the program jedi95, it's working great for me. I went from a i7 860 to a i7 2600k and now the bigadv are no problem. Also thanks to EVGA for supporting there team.

Thanks for the Guide! I was on the verge of quitting, but finally got a 15K PPD on my X6 1090T 4Ghz. too bad my ATI 5870 only gets 3400-3800PPD on both GPU3 R800, and GPU2 R700. They seriously need a GPU3 for ATI cards. http://img217.imageshack...mg217/9274/37154269.png

At the moment you can't use this with the Tracker because the V7 client changed how 3rd party programs interact with it.

well i'm not using the Tracker V2 to fold, maybe i should download the V7 again just for the GPU. And yeah, when i was on the V7, i noticed the speed was much faster than the Tracker V2 im using now.

I'm new to F@H, but am giving it a shot. I downloaded FAH GPU Tracker2 and the GPU3 client for my 560, but I'm getting 0 PPD. What gives? My first project is 5% done. Does the PPD update after you finish a WU? Edit - Nevermind, it just updated. Sitting at a little over 11k PPD. How do I make this go up?

you only need FAH GPU tracker the tracker will both fold on your CPU(unicore or smp, and Bigadv) and GPU's your PPD will be based off your cards potential and CPU potential folding ability you will get points when you get the WU's done (if you get them done early or on time) they will be posted at EOC at regular intervals (3hr intervals) http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ use the search function to find yourself ...when you have completed some WU's it would also be a good idea to post specs to determine your folding ability

Just started folding with this client, hope to be of some help. edit: keeping an eye on MSI afterburner and I spotted this: Note GPU3 (which is the second GPU in the Tri-SLI set) is jumping up and down while the other 2 have a solid 99% load. Is this normal, a program bug, or anything else?

Are you folding in SLI? If so, turn it off. Folding and SLI don't play well together... EDIT: Excuse my manners. Welcome to the team!

Yeah I got SLI enabled, didn't know that one. But it has allready finished like 5 WU's, so what's the benifit from disabling it? Will it be faster haha? Thanks for the welcome!

I am just wanting to make sure I have things set up properly so I can keep track of my ppd and also keep a running total of my total points. i have evga selected as my team and i have timbo1130 as my folding name which is the same as my evga login and I updated that info on my profile page on evga is there anything else I need to do in order to have my points count towards my total?

Do you have to download the FAH clients every time from standord? Edit: Also is it normal for it to make your pc run really laggy?

1. no, just use the FAH GPU tracker (It's easier for most new folders) 2. maybe a little (it will rebalance as your need desires) generally most people do not use their PC all the time...so it's not an issue most of the time I use my computer all day(on web) while folding or crunching...unless you plan to run video - I don't see an issue so much and you can set it up to kick out for gaming - or even stop it while your doing something important

actually what happens is when your Work unit is done it will upload and a new one will download and start working on you don't need to close down unless you wish to shutdown computer (mine stays up 24/7) if you do want to shut down - just stop both the SMP and GPU's you are running before shutting down the tracker when you start up the tracker(and you have to start SMP and GPU's again)- the Work unit(s) will start at the last save point(s) your points are kept at stanford and the stats for every Work unit are kept (only for logging purposes for your infomation) other thing is to setup tracker to save completed logs and set verbosity 9 (for more detailed error messages) if you want to shutdown for awhile (since Work units have completion date/time) it's a good idea to set the tracker to oneunit each GPU and SMP so that after they are completed you can shut down - with no new work units uploading. then you can go away for awhile when you restart - remember to deselect oneunit for each so you go back to upload and then download new ones automatically

You don't NEED the bridge / SLI for folding.. Just gaming. Some gamers are able to fold with SLI enable, others just disable it in the NVIDIA Control Panel for folding enable / reboot for gaming.
