Not sure why, but when I try to enable GPU3 on my gtx 260, it continues to DL Core 11 instead of 15. I even stopped the client after a WU finished and deleted all the necessary stuff in the GPU 0 folder and it still DLd Core 11.

Gpu 3 is for fermi cards only. For the 260 you need to run gpu 2 and force nvidia G80

Al_Ho jedi95, this application is great. I am new to folding but recently stumbled upon this and got it running and have a couple of questions... I was previously running the GPU2 client alone and had completed 20 WU, is there any way to transfer the data from them over to the new files of the tracker? - I know its on the Stanford website but it would be nice to see in the program too. Also, is there anyway to get the viewer to work when using this program (I just like the pictures). Thanks for a great app. I dont believe you can transfer files to the tracker but if you go to this website you can keep track of yourself and the team http://folding.extremeove...ry.php?s=&t=111065 As for the viewer its been known to cause data corruption so its recommended that you dont have it up.

I have run GPU3 on my 260 prior to this and no, you don't have to use force g80 at all.

Oh well its only 20 WU, when I have done as much as you lot it wont make any difference. Thanks for the link Great Shovel and thanks very much for the heads up about the viewer, I had no idea.

Well as long as you use the same folding name you wouldnt lose anything. The stats will still be under your name just not in the tracker so you can check stanfords f@h website and see your score every hour or go to eoc and see your score updated every 3 hours

Yeah, I have kept the same name and the WU are still accruing (slowly) at Stanford so all is good.

Thank you. I am enjoying it very much so far, gonna start an SMP package tomorrow as have finished modding my case so it wont catch fire if running GPU and SMP. Its funny, I built the computer to play games, now I am folding and reading a book!

Ok so I have done a couple of SMPs and not got the bonus points, then I realised you need to fold 10 SMP WU to qualify for the bonus points. The question is do I then start to get the bonus points from SMP WU 11 onwards or do I get the first 10 given to me retrospectively also? Thanks P.S Sorry my ppd is so lame!

The bonus will be 11 onward. I wish it counted the first 10 lol. I dont remember the rest of the posts right now but do you have a passkey for your name? You only get the bonus after 10 smp's with the passkey. And your ppd isnt lame you just started. Once you get the bonuses youll be making about 8-10k ppd so just be patient. My first 14 smp wu's were without a passkey so dont worry about it youll get up there

OK i ran into this problem twice now, when I pick up a new WU for the CPU it will make my GPU client stop or go intermittently to something like 20% then straight to zero over and over. This is on my 24/7 folder running win xp. Do not have any problem on the gaming rig running SMP and GPU client. Never encountered this when not using the program and been running both for a few months prior to this.

Your program is something special. Thanks for sharing it. I really had no clue what F@H was before I saw your client tweeted yesterday by the @TEAMEVGA twitter account. A couple of questions though: 1) Is it possible to run 3x SLI with GTX 285s? Or, do I turn off SLI and fold on the 3 GPUs separately? 2) CPU vs GPU clients/folding...is one better than the other in terms of PPD output? Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to the fold. 1) Most people are able to run folding on theior GPUs while they are in SLI, but sometimes there are problems. Folding itself does not utilise SLI though, you need to run each GPU on its own regardless of whether or not SLI is turned on. I turn SLI off when folding on my main rig and my dedicated folders never have it enabled. 2) That depends...CPUs with 8 or more cores can run bigadv, which gets huge bonus points for early completion, and some of the newest GPUs can get huge PPD as well. Your setup would need a little testing to determine the best PPD total. With that 920 at 4GHz, you could run bigadv on 6 or 7 cores, and run the 3 285s at the same time. The testing would be to find out if it might actually be better for you to run full out on all 8 cores on -bigadv without any GPUs folding. Some have found that there is not enough benefit from the GPUs to overcome the loss of PPD by limiting the CPU folding. Hope that helps. Also, since it was the twitter thing that got you, I'm sure you saw that we are having an inter-team competition starting later this week. Do you have any plans of helping us out in the Chimp Challenge? Come on over to the contests threads and check it out. http://forums.evga.com/tt.aspx?forumid=71
