Hello.
I have installed my CLC 280, but i think it is a bit too noisy. By default the fans are set to run at around 1050 rpm, which is 40%.
I go in to the software and set it to run at 25% speed, but nothing happens when i click apply.
If i close and reopen the software, i can see that it didn't even save that fan curve to the profile.
Sometimes i am lucky, and i am able to set it to 25% fan speed, but this changes when i turn off my pc.
Any ideas on how i can get it to stay at 25% all the time? Changing the fan speed in the bios does nothing.
By the way, temperatures is not an issue. It is at less then 60 degrees while under load.

    Hey tjomson,
well at least yours are constant at 1050. Mine are screaming at 2200 constantly. Funny tho i had the 120 before which i had no problems with at all.
Put the 120 in another system and got me the 280.
Big mistake... i cant for the life of me get the boys to run under 2200.
I use a 7700k which is always a bit warmer then other CPU's but i cant even adjust the curve. And the flow control software takes only the hottest temp from all CPU's.
Even when my avarage is at 40degrees it shows constantly 58 to 60 since 1 CPU always is at that temp.
Its annoying and the fans are loud.... very loud...
Im really regretting that buy... :(

    I think i found a semi-solution.
Go into flow control. Under fan curve, drag all of them to the 25%, except the ones that are locked.
Then click apply, and close the software.
    Then open HWmonitor.
For me, the moment HWmonitor opens, i can hear the fans ramp down, and it keeps them at 25% until i turn off my pc. When i turn it on, i have to do it again.

I have same problem, fans noise is unbearable.
I think the Flow Control Software Is not working properly.
    From the official product page
Features: Variable controlled fans allow dynamic fan speed based on CPU temperature, and the water cooling efficiency means the fans can operate at a lower speed to reduce noise.

All these threads about issues with the Flow Control software have me second guessing my purchase.

Look at my join date and ownership history before you try telling me I'm not a real fan of EVGA. I even bought the damn hat.

    Possible solution:
Disconnect fans from pump, and connect them to MB fan header, now you have full control of fan speed.
I've done this in my pc, and set the fans to 25% idle temps, and up to 40% under load in MB software.
Quiet, cool, and working just fine.

Yeah I saw your YouTube video. The fan is way too aggressive. I have mine set at the bottom and it stays at 1050. At anything above 1200 I find the sound of these fans unbearable.

anything past 1400rpm on my clc 280 fans and they sounds wonky like something is wrong with the bearing or something is lose/vibrating. But that isn't the case.

I have the same problem. Fans are at 1.104 RPM all the time, i tried to move the curve and it doesnt matter, it's like the curve option is not working. For now i have the fans connected to the motherboard and i'm using fan xpert, i can make the fan spin at 600 rpm without problem.

Anybody knows if there's gonna be and update for this problem??

    (Sorry my bad english)!!

Your Semi-Solution is correct!!! fan spins at 680 rpm (ultra low noise), but im afraid they don't work when the temp rises.

PS: HWMonitor says NZXT KRAKEN. It shows Liquid temp, FAN RPM and PUMP RPM

To get the fans to run @ 25% you need to have your curve temperature start point ABOVE your CPU idle temperature, otherwise the fans are doing EXACTLY what you set in the curve.

If your CPU idles @ 30*C set the fans to the 25% you are wanting but the temperature START Point HAS TO BE HIGHER than 30*C > 31*, 32* something MORE than your 30* or what ever your CPU idles @

If you set your START point LOWER than your CPU idle temperature it will follow your curve exactly as you have it set up resulting in a higher fan speed than what you are wanting @ idle.

I have a similar issue, someone suggested to me to plug the fans into the motherboard fan headers alone and control them via AI suite or something similar.
