Is that the hybrid? Mine runs 75C on air. 5 to 10C hotter than my 3080.

That's why I like this benchmark, IF you don't have a Top teir CPU its doesn't matter much, Its good to know though. I was afraid this car would be on the ragged edge, The Gammers Nexus sample would not OC at all.

Looks like the card is severely power limited at 450w vs. the best of 3090's at 500w and above.  People can't seem to get it much above 2,100mhz and stay there, even with good cooling.  Here's a run of my 3080 FTW3 Hybrid at normal gaming OC and fan settings, it will easily use all of the 450w power limit but only when it needs to, it usually runs out of clock stability before that above 2,100 mhz without being locked at 1.1v vcore.  Makes sense being 5/6th's the cores:

This 3080 TI FTW3 ultra is outstanding card, it is as fast as 3090 even in normal mode in stock settings, much faster than 3080 TI FE. Evga did a very nice job on this card. Well thought product.

Darn good cooler you have at 39c
I think 46 a run is as low as I can get on a Hybrid cooler. 450w bios @2145 mhz pulled about 426w and my score is 75 points less.

The 3080ti pulls in so close to the scores of a 3090 that I would be pissed if I owned a 3090.

Is this a normal score for my setup?, it didn't really use more than about 300W. I haven't applied any "special" OS/Software tweaks that people do like turning things on or off in settings and control panels to boost the scores. it's just vanilla standard install and adjusted clocks.

gsrcrxsi, score is lower than I would expect with overclock, if card have not exceeded 300W even with PL 105%, then it is somehow throttling, like some power limit protection

    I've been investigating this.

I need to see more scores from XC3 cards. I think everyone in here is with FTW3 cards.

If I can suggest, try to uninstall drivers and use DDU utility in safe mode for cleanup. Then install drivers freshly.

I had similar issue, but after cleaning port royal worked correctly and my card (FTW3) reached 433W of power - unleashing full potential under given thermal conditions.

I did already do that. but let me try to use a slightly older driver. I used the newest one on the new 470 branch (471.11)

DDU'd the 471.11 driver, fresh installed the 466.77 driver.

same behavior, score, slightly lower 12,780 (within variance). basically no change.

Re: How about those Port Royal scores on your new 3080Ti, Let see them 2021/06/25 07:22:17 (permalink)
There is something seriously wrong there. XC3 ultra has TDP 350W and should be as founders edition, with increased power limit it should reach over 400W
You can try MSI kombustor to ensure gpu load, but port royal should reach almost TDP too, especially with water cooling.

There might be issue also with CPU, can you run Cinebench R23 and report single core and multi core score, please.

I see the same kind of 300W limit on Kombustor too maybe only slightly higher draw. I made a whole thread about this yesterday. search my profile and you'll find it.

this XC3 card only allows 105% power limit increase. it can only go up to 366W. which I don't have a problem with really. but it doesn't ever get there. stays around 300W, so increasing power limit in software doesnt change anything now.

will report back on R23, but CPU does not appear to be a bottleneck. CPU load is very low.
