fujifilm 16gb  its the 16 gb version of this drive here. im trying to use my windows 10 pc to make a windows 7 boot drive for an x58 build. the x58 has never had an OS loaded to it, its a new old stock board i bought. only things not new are ram and cpu.  bought and downloaded win7 from newegg, downloaded rufus to make a bootable drive for windows, but need to upsate the bios, because the original bios for this board doesnt support win 7. thi pc was a gift to my friend, its been built a month and still wont boot.

tried diskpart to clean the drive, "attributes clear readonly", said it was successful, but still wont work. tried regedit and change the value to 0, didnt work.

Well for the Most Part this thread is about creating a DOS Boot USB that uses Windows 98 DOS for updating the Motherboard BIOS.
If you want to create a Windows 7 Boot USB Device then you need to Download the ISO that is meant for this purpose.
More on Windows 7 USB Boot Device
You can use Windows 10 to create a Windows 7 Boot DVD or USB by way of the Windows 7 Image Process listed under the Control.
Though this can only Boot up and restore an Image that you have created and you will NOT be able to install a Fresh OS Install this way.

I thought it was to flash the bios. Sorry

It is but you do not use a Windows 7 Boot you create a DOS as posted here https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2842361
I just completed one so I could update one of my Old X79 Motherboards, it works.

I need to make both, but I'm trying to get the bios done first so it will recognize windows 7. Just trying to figure out a way to get the usb drive to work. I may just have to buy a new one.
