Looks about right to me. Here's my 980 Ti @ 1530MHz w/ 5820K @ 4.4GHz compared to your set up - http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/8958244/fs/8944373 EDIT: It does look like your core clock is reporting incorrect speeds, unless you are under LN2 cooling you aren't really getting 2500MHz on your GPU core.

I gotta do more work on my cpu.I just cant seem to get it to 4.5
My 5820K can't do 4.5GHz completely stable either. Luck of the draw!

Yes your CPU is what is lowering your overall score. The graphics score looks right to me.

I have a 980 ti Classified and I can't get it past 1440 MHz without destabilizing at some point. I have a 2600k OC'd to 4.5 GHz which also can't go beyond that without destabilizing. Could my no name 1k watt PSU be the culprit? It's definitely not heat.

980 Ti's are very temperature sensitive. I can get 1530MHz stable when the GPU temp is <48C. When it warms up past 48C it will soon black/grey screen hard lock. At 1505 MHz, it is perfectly stable even at 51C (it tops out at 50C usually). With the stock Classified cooler it was fully stable, without black/grey screen lockups, at the max air OC of 1455Mhz. No amount of extra voltage makes it any more stable over the stock settings either - purely the temperature.

Better than 98% of all results. Unsatisfied with the score. But yeah that looks about right. Clocks > cores in games for the most part atm, unfortunately.

Hmm I originally thought heat wasn't an issue but if the Classy is sensitive then I will try a more aggressive fan curve. Just really trying to learn as much of the ins/outs of overclocking on this card before my step up finalizes. Your 1455 is close to what I can get so that sounds about right. Thanks!

i got curious and DL'd the benchmark. here's my results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12706429 pushed my Founders Edition card up to +250 clock and +500 memory in Afterburner. was able to hit a new high of 2152 clock speeds and my MoBo already auto OC'd my CPU to 4.7GHz.

It's all about the silicon lottery for OC. To not have the OC down clock due to heat levels, a good aftermarket cooler is the ticket (FE at 100% fan speed is loud, and pretty much required to keep a stable heavy OC).

@hansot85: thanks! i was really iffy about ordering a FE card at first, but i've been loving it. @arestavo: definitely loud @ 100% fan speed, but that's only for maxing out the card during benchmarks. during normal use, i have a custom fan curve that's just a little more aggressive than the stock ones. it's barely noticeable when i'm playing games or watching anything. my Asus 1080 Strix OC should be here Tuesday. i'm pretty damn stoked!

I have a pretty good CPU. It hits 5 ghz. But the true stable overclock is 4.7 for my 5820k. I settled for 4.5ghz 24/7

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12709720 mine i don't see the point oc'ng my 5820k yet beyond 4.2 ghz unless for benchmarking runs 4,4 ghz @ 1,200v probably could push it further still i run it at 4,2 1,120 right now.

nice OC on the founders. I can't get mine past 2125~ without instability. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8956752 on an x58 i7 980x @ 4.0 ghz to the OP, i would be satisfied with those scores. like mentioned already you need to OC your cpu to squeeze out more points
